ha wrong. You can actually do A LOT of work on a bmw with basic hand tools. regular and torx sockets and a screw driver goes a long way. The reason he thinks they are unreliable is because he was around broken ones all the time. No one comes into the service center and says the car is running fantastic thanks alot. this is a silly thread. thanks for the laughs today.
I don't think the thread is silly. It's your basic "What have you raced?" thread that's on just about every automotive forum for cars that perform well. The Genesis has over 400hp and it's a pretty impressive car - especially coming from a brand that was on nobody's radar ten years ago. BMW is well aware of what's going on at Hyundai and considers them a solid future competitor. 100%
With every generation they get closer and closer to being on par with premium luxury brands. And while Hyundai is not officially in the performance game YET - they're about to launch a performance division. It's not like it's impossible for Hyundai to build a car that surprises people. The CTS-V and ATS-V are pretty impressive cars. Maybe not on par with BMW in every aspect - but they certainly have performance down. And they certainly surprised the M3/M5 (depending on who you see the CTS-V competing with) with their second generation performance car. Believe me, you're going to see the same thing with Hyundai very soon.
