  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What is the most popular color of the Genesis sedan?

Still undecided on my color?
What color is your Genesis?

I agree with most that the black on black looks fantastic, but I don't want to spend the time necessary for upkeep. I have the cabernet red/casmere and love it. It is probably a little more difficult to maintain than white, and it does retain heat more, but I made a tradeoff.

I've got black on black. A number of years ago when I worked in a dealership in northern California, we were given demos to drive around in. We were also responsible for keeping them clean. Dark Red and dark blue were just as hard as black for keeping clean. Grey, silver, light blue, tan and white obviously were easier to keep clean and did not show dirt like the darker colors.

I use a California duster to wipe mine off after a drive. That usually is enough to keep it clean for another day.

black on black...

I don't know why people say it is hard to keep black Clean...

spend 30 minutes in the morning and 90 minutes after work cleaning it each day and it will look great ....
That's only 2 hours a day! What step(s) are you skipping?? .:D

I have Sterling Blue. That color is definitely not popular, or in other words, is hard to come by.

Hey, Say, watch it! Sterling blue is the best AND hard to come by! Good on ya', buddy!

Just remember that the best is usually hard to come by! ;)

(Note the use of the sterling blue emoticons)

I still say black is most character-building

Platinum Silver w/ cashmere int.

I wanted medium to dark grey, but the titanium grey is really just a darker shade of silver. My last three cars have been silver, and I'm looking for a change. I love the look of the chrome contrasts with black. I guess I have to decide if I'd rather drive a dirty black car or a dirty silver (titanium grey) car. Even dirty, I think I may prefer black.

I had a black car once for three years. Consider where your car will be parked most of the time and your climate. S. Cal. and southwestern states may be easier to maintain a black car. Here in the southest with all the rain, bugs, tree sap, and red clay, keeping up the finish on a black car is an everyday job. Also in the summer when parked in the sun for an hour here in the south the inside is like 160+.

Silver/black here. I was going to order red/cashmere but couldn't find it.

Red, beige, and the two blues are export only, for that matter. I spent 3 months in Korea in late 2008 and just about every Genesis in sight was black, gray, or silver.

Silver with black interior at first.

White with Saddle interior now.

Titanium Grey with Saddle as back up. I think I am inspired by the Saddle which is proving difficult to find in 2011's. Still looking.

My 2 cents: White shows the lines of the car better. More Lexus in your face.

Black is always a beautiful formal approach, but I feel the Genesis can sometimes hide it's lines in black.

Silver and Grey accent the lines sometimes in my opinion.

Champagne give a rich look....but I struggle wanting that color.

The light blue is unique. Dark blue is like black.

The red is nice.... Would react great to chrome DUBS! :)

Champagne beige metallic here with cashmere interior...

I wish they had a color closer to the bronze metallic that my Acura came in, but this one isn't too bad.

I have the Sterling Blue and really like it - both in terms of the color itself and that it is fairly unique. However, I really like all the Genesis colors, although Midnight Blue is too close to black and the champagne is a bit bland for me, although very practical.

I orginally wanted Black/cashmire but the dealer did not have any 4.6 Black cars. Only a 3.8. The sales manager said he had two Black/Black that just came off the truck. They were waiting to be detailed. So I got a Black on Black just like my Vette. :D

I have the Titanium paint with the black interior and it stays clean looking and doesn't overheat in the Florida sun.

I agree with everyone who loves black that it is the most elegant looking, but only when clean.

Silver or Black are simply the best.

Sliver gives the car a larger looking profile when looking at it from the side or any angled view.

Though it looks nice and serious in black, but smaller unfortunately.

I just recently bought a 2011 titanium grey with black interior. The dealer only had the silver in, but I thought it was a bit too light so he had the titanium grey brought in.

I almost went with the black on black, but it has been hard enough to keep the titanium grey looking good with all the salt and slush on the roads recently.
