Hi,

Title says it all. How many MPGs have you averaged in your Genesis V6. Plase include mix of city/highway driving and driving style-

i.e:
27mpg, 30% city, 70% hwy, moderate/aggressive driving (just above speed limit)

Thanks in advance.

22-25 mpg. 65-70% city. avg (non-aggressive) driving.

I've had my car (V6 PP+ pkg) since 8/2/08 and the numbers have been consistent in that average range. Hwy as high as 31 mpg!!

I have about 7000 miles on my Titanium Metallic PP car. I have been getting on the highway about 26 mpg @ average speed of 75mph and 22 mpg in city driving. I can't complain about the car, however since they have the winter mix of gas in NJ I have notice a 10% decrease in fuel economy.

18.2 mpg, based on a 120-mile round trip on a weekend, and the remainder 14-mile round trip commutes.

wow you guys are getting pretty good mileage.

Mine is about 18mpg w/ 90% street, 10% highway. When I am on the fwy for an extended period of time, Im upwards of 24 mpg.

I just drive... some say I have a heavy foot, and I do like to get out in front of the pack from a stop light, but I my rpms stay in the low 2s.

I get about 18 mpg usually. I drive 90% streets and 10% highway. A lot of stop and go neighborhood driving. I have a 3.8 Tech package.

I am somewhat aggressive, but I'm not Mario Andretti out there or anything...

Mileage on the freeway seems much, much higher.

With 80% city and 20% hwy I got around 18 mpg but when its 100% city it drops to around 16.8 to 17.2.

I average about 19 mpg.
90% city, fairly aggressive driving.

When I'm on the freeway though it goes way up. about 26-27 mpg at 80-90 mph with lots of passing.

OK,

In town with me driving---10 mpg
In town with wife driving---19mpg
Interstate with me driving at 90---24mpg
Interstate with wife driving at 75---27mpg

***OF COURSE, all this data is from the driver information center...which could be very wrong. Whenever I enter the car I always reset the MPG indicator to reflect my driving. I have yet to calculate the MPG the old fashioned way.

I personally think Hyundai was very conservative on the sticker...I would imagine that if I cruised around 50-55 on our roads that we would easily get near 30 mpg. Maybe I should try it.

Keep in mind, we dont have too many hills around here :)

Road trip over the weekend between Knoxville, TN and Chattanooga, TN...approx. 100 miles each way w/some city driving @ the destination, two adults in the car.....averaged 80-85 mph, and 28.8 mpg on the V6. Great numbers as I expected they'd be!!!!

Ya gotta love it!

Dan :>)

First tank of premium calculated to 22 mpg in mixed driving, 70% fwy/30% City on a v8. I would be happy to average 18, but this is a bonus!

Just completed a drive from Ct. to Miami Beach. Using the on board mpg indicator, and starting the clock once up to speed on the interstate, got a happy 31.4 at steady 75. That's for pure highway driving ...excluding any interruptions. like rest stops, fuel stops, etc, Overall highway was 28.2. Also would like to report what a pleasure it is to drive this car. I "only" have the V6 but the available power in the 80's when passing is amazing.

I own a V6 base model and currently have 8,800 miles. My daily round trip to work is 90mi and I've also had it on a long (1,500 mile) road trip.

My daily 90mi commute is about 30% city, 70% hwy and I'm a light foot for the most part. For this driving I'm consistently getting right at 26MPG (last tank was 26.2 but I didn't have to take my daughter to school every morning so there was just a little less city driving).

On the road trip I averaged 27.5MPG for the entire trip (driven at 75MPH for the most part).

A heavy foot in city driving can definitely lower these numbers significantly. When I first got the car I had a hard time getting more than 23-24MPG per tank, but after a few weeks I managed to mostly revert to my much more conservative driving style. I think if I lived in a bigger city with heavier traffic that it would be much more difficult to control that urge to drive aggressively.

Tom

Just completed 1800 mile jaunt on I-95. 28.2 going North, 27.2 going South. Locked at 77 on cruise control. 87 octane. Go figure!

91 octane, 13 mpg in town, 23 mpg flat land highway with cruse on.

4.6 with tech

BaywayRic;

Thats very strange since everyone knows going south is down hill!! HA HA!!

I maintain spreadsheets on all my cars detailing all expenses, maintenance, etc. The stats below are precise since buying the car July 26th.

3822 miles
20.42 mpg since owning the car
27.41 highest mpg on an individual tank
17.41 lowest mpg on an individual tank

I would estimate 75/25 city/highway split.

What mileage are you getting?

Real simple, what mileage is everyone seeing in the real world.

Engine: V8
Mileage:
Overall: 20.6
Best Tank: 25.7 (99% highway at 55 with cruise set)
Worst Tank:17.2 (testing the gas pedal)

total Miles:1900

I expect to see some nice numbers from the V6 crowd.

Over about 7,000 miles I seem to be averaging just over 25 mpg with moderate/aggressive driving. Quite impressive for a large luxury sedan driven by a leadfoot.:D Best trip average was 30 mpg (well 29.967 actually ;)).
