  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What surprises have you "found" in your car...

I had read all the "surprises" about a day after i got the car, so i didn't think i had anything new to contribute...
I friend of mine who's 6'5" was looking at the car, and said if he fits in the back seat he will like it, then he tells me "Hey" look its got detents for your knee's on the backs of the front seats!!

I would like to see a light under the hood, and with all the heated stuff the car has, i was surprised that it didn't have a heated steering wheel...

The Canadian models have the heated steering wheel. Really nice feature and heats up in seconds. :D

There are 3 setting on the side mirror controls. Left, Center and Right. When backing up, the right setting will force the right mirror down. If set to the left it will force both mirrors down. When set to center, both mirrors will remain unchanged.

My wife and cousin and I have been fighting about this for the past week. Cousin has a 2012 Genny 3.8 tech and I have a 2012 R-spec. Sometimes the mirrors will move and sometimes they don't. I thought I was going crazy until I read this. :D

The hood opens?

Hmm ...the 4.6 loaner I had last year did have a heated steering wheel, we were laughing about it because we live in Florida !!

The car really does handle well at 10mph (give or take a zero) :D

I noticed when I walked up to my 2012 4.6, fob in my pocket, the mirror puddle lights turned on. Pretty cool.

Those are both set via checkmarks in the "info system".

On my 2013 R-Spec it does not work exactly as you describe. If the switch is in either the left or right position, both outside mirrors tilt down when you put car in reverse. The center position turns mirror tilt off.

I love this feature. On a few occasions it has let me see objects close to the rear corners of my car while backing up that I would not have been able to see with the mirrors in the normal position. One of those times it was a small child that escaped its parent's grasp in a supermarket parking lot.

I treasure the little note I found tucked away in the spare wheel well//

My '12 4.6 is the same way, both tilt or neither.

Great joke sent from Korea, I suppose. Kimchi is even funnier.

You got trolled in real life LOL

My 2011 4.6 does the same, both tilt or neither.

IN fact, I noticed today that if I have the drivers mirror too far out (wide), it gets stuck and does not come back up after tilting down. I goofed around with it a bit in the parking lot and found a happy point where it is as wide as I prefer it but not too wide where it gets stuck on the mirror housing. When it first happened I had a moment of , but all :) now.

I had my Genny since May and just today discovered that if you are listening to a station that says "HD1" (or HD2, HD3 etc) underneath it, you can press the DIS button and then scroll through all the HD stations for that channel.

Was told had blue link but dud not dealership lied

Was kinda pissed that car did not have Bluetooth streaming after buying the premium tech ..... Premium has Bluetooth streaming ...

The tires on my 2010 4.6 are expensive and don't last long. 70,000 KM now and I will soon by buying my second set of replacements. OEM Dunlops got me to about 30,000 KM so I replaced them with Pirelli's which did a bit better but still only 40,000km. I'm now going to try even more expensive Nokian WRG3's which my tire dealer assures me will last at least twice as long as the Pirelli's

At over $1,000 for a set of tires that I have to replace every 1.5 years, tires are a serious and unexpected cost of ownership for me.

I still love my car! :D

The WGR3 is an all weather tire, which is a mix of all season and winter tire. because of this it compromises on both, giving you less wear and performance than a true all season, and less winter capabilities than a dedicated winter tire. Nokian even classifies it as a winter tire themselves: http://www.nokiantires.com/tyre?id=195115&group=1.01
Since you don't really get any snow to speak of out there I would go with more of a touring tire if you're looking for longer tread life and more comfort.
