  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

Me and my wife drove the XC40, if you haven't driven it yet, you will notice one bad thing - it's pretty loud inside, not sure if its the kind of tires or just bad insulation, but it was one of the loudest brand new cars i've driven. Aside from that we loved it, we drove a T5 R design with red seats. Will end up purchasing a 2019 CX5 instead of it, it's gonna be a lot cheaper for us, and we are looking for a great lease number.
For the S60 though, I like performance cars, I drive a 2018 Camaro 1LE right now and it's a track monster, I would also be looking at a tune eventually for the T5, being only a turbo, it should be easier, but I'm not looking to achieve anything crazy as far as power, just want a little bit more kick to it, that's all. You would love the S60 in person, it's amazing, I was very glad that I saw the R Design in the pearl white which is the color I would be looking for.
I was really hoping the Genesis would be bigger in the back, that is pretty much the only thing that is having me moving away from it.
When I drove the XC40, it has a booming sound on the inside. Especially going over bumps or uneven roads. I mentioned it to my wife and the sales guy and they couldn't hear it. It was pretty annoying and bothered me. And yes it was also loud overall.
The S60 is going to be bigger in the rear seat area no question since it is FWD based.

Not sure what kind of rush you're in but if not a big hurry I'd wait for the 2020 CX5 since it's getting updated motor and trim options, should provide a nice kick to the performance on the thing.

Or the Genesis SUV when it arrives...

That's the 2019 model, it has the 2.5 Turbo on the Signature model, front parking sensors, 360 camera and ventilated seats, I got a call the other day from the dealer I was at to invite me back to check them out.

No cabin filter. Dust accumulates MUCH faster...hate it.

The Design edition has one...so going to find out the cost and if I can install it myself.

Isn't there one in the glove compartment?
In the manual, it is called climate control air filter.

Hmmm...no clue. I just assumed there wasn’t with all the dust. Hate to see pollen season!!!

Thought the Design only had it...since it’s specifically mentioned.

Oh...ok. Wonder what the difference is. If I can simply replace the filter with a better one...that catches more crap...that would be perfect.

You can change it easily. It is under the glove compartment. This is from the manual.

CLIMATE CONTROL AIR FILTER Filter Inspection The climate control air filter should be replaced according to the Maintenance Schedule. If the vehicle is operated in severely air-polluted cities or on dusty rough roads for a long period, it should be inspected more frequently and replaced sooner. Replace the climate control air filter by following the procedure below and be careful to avoid damaging other components. OIK077019 1. With the glove box open, remove the stoppers on both sides to allow the glove box to hang freely on the hinges. OIK077018 2. Remove the support rod (1). OIK077020N 3. Press and hold the lock (2) on the left side of the cover. 4. Pull out (3) the cover. OIK077021 5. Replace the climate control air filter. 6. Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly. NOTICE Install a new climate control air filter in the correct direction with the arrow symbol (↓) facing downwards, to prevent noise and reduced effectiveness.

Now we just need to part number for the "Premium" filter to swap it out! Haha.

I need to pull mine out and see how it stands. I will also pull out my filter...and see if it is dirty. Mine did not sit around long at port...but even if it did...air was not circulating. So I doubt it's clogged up. But yeah...I will make some calls and investigate.

I had my G90 serviced today and the dealership left a G70. I am a 6' 250 lb guy. I couldn't even get in the G70. I had to put the seat all the way back and the steering wheel all the way in and even then my head hit the top of the door frame. Previously, I have driven a G80 and a Sante Fe with no problem. Is it just me or is the G70 particularly tight?

I'm the same size and I fit just fine. I find ingress and egress for this car to be better than my GTI even though I'm comfortable in that car too. I mean coming out of a G90 into a G70 will certainly be a sharp contrast. ;-)

I'm 6' 215 lb and today I sat on it for the first time. For sure is not as roomy as my 2016 Genesis but I had plenty of space in the driver's seat, left the same position I had and went to the rear seat and I could seat without problems, not as confy as I would like but enought to stand any short trip without problems.

6', 200lbs here. also, fit and not a 'blob'. the G70 has decent room up front. no issues with headroom or seat width. not quite as much as some competitors in the class, but not terrible either. i know some older folks or those who are used to more space will feel cramped...even if they are not.
