Can you give a long term report on the General G-max -AS-03When I replaced my 17” stock wheels with 18X9.5 wheels I was in the market for new tires.
I had a hard time spending $1000 plus for tires so I did a little investigating and found these General tires. They came with a love them of replace them guarantee from General tire, so I figured what the heck.
I purchased these tires (General G- Max AS03 225/50ZR18) on line from http://www.discounttiredirect.com who guaranteed to beat any price. I paid $576 delivered to the door.
I purchased them in June of 2012, have about 8K miles on them and am very satisfied with them. They are excellent on wet and dry roads, run quiet and after 8K show no wear. General advertises that they are good in light snow also, but residing in Florida that isn’t one of my main concerns, but could be an added assist if I travel north in the winter for some reason.
Might be worth a look http://www.generaltire.com/tires/performance/g-max-as-03
COS,
What does "more sidewall" refer to?
Jbo
They look as if the sidewall is larger, i.e. more side wall, than the bridgestones. They are both a 245/45 19 tire. When I looked them up on tire rack, they show the same specs so maybe I'm just seeing things.
COS,
Thanks, I thought you might be referring to stiffness. Sounds like; with exception of slight pull; not a big difference to your memory of the PO-4s when new?
Jbo
I just installed Bridgestone Turenza Serenity plus last week. They are quiet and the ride is extremely smooth. I highly recommend them.
