  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm taking delivery of a 2015 Genesis Tech next week. I was thinking of running 225/50/18 Blizzak / X-Ice or Hankook W409's on the OEM wheels. I have a summer set up. What are others running for winter tires?

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Where are you located? I'm in Baltimore, and I got the AWD with allseason Hankooks. This will be fine for me.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee

Located in Toronto, Canada. Blizzak LM 32's. Using the OEM 19 wheels as part of my winter set up.

Will pick up a set of 245/45-18 Michelin X-Ice Xi3 (mounted on Touren TR60 Gunmetal wheels)... later today.

Michelin PILOT ALPIN PA4 : 245/45R18 all the way around. Live in the NYC area and travel further north pretty frequently. Last winter was no problem at all.

Others have said that the factory tires are very good also given the good AWD system and I would have probably let one season go by to see how they handled. But the wifey always wants winter tires on cars no matter what - what the wifey wants, the wifey gets.

Got Braelin BR01 19" Staggered Set-up (exactly the factory sizes)

275/35/19 Rear
245/40/19 Front

With Blizzark LM32

LOL. I'm in York Region as well. Hwy 7 and Yonge area.

Steelies are a no go for the V8's for sure. Won't clear the brake calipers.

Just pulled the trigger on a set of X-ice xi3's.
