  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Duh... i know V8 hav biger engin but anyting else?

V8 sim to break beter then V6. (is it diferent brake?)

Also v8 seam to hav smoother caw hide...

anything else?

TIA

I'm sure I'll forget something . . .but the V8 has the full trunk liner (later V6's may too), it has electric power steering pump, chrome door strips (not body color), illuminated door sills, larger disk brakes, slightly stiffer suspension (for less body roll?), Premium (softer) leather, slightly larger gas tank, ZF (not Asin) transmission, and two additional cylinders!

Gee thanks sonata,

Wow all that fer only $2k mor?

yea, think of it, V8 seem to have a bit more stiff suspension.
my hand likes stiff suspension but my butt likes soft & cushy.
i'll have to give my vote to my butt...

definitely better brake - just for this alone i would choose v8

hmmm, shouldn't the electric power steering suppoz to make steering easy? It's kinda too hard to turn when parking

Ahhh blue "GENESIS" light on door sill... I think it looks good, too.

My daughter think the back window screen that move up and down when backing wuz very cool, V6 has this too?

My V6 has the back motorized window screen and the full liner for the trunk. My v6 has the tech package and the premium package.

Cheers,

Robbie

On top of the items listed so far I believe the V8 package also provides

- Outside diming mirrors
- Wood accents on the steering wheel

ThomasPF,

You're right! I knew I forgot several things!

The V8 also has Leather Trim - Front dash, front and rear doors, Limited Slip Rear Differential, the front brake is not only larger it has 4 pistons instead of 1 piston on the V6.

Limited Slip Rear Differential

Really. I saw that on the WEB mentioned in articles but not on the Hyundai WEBs site.

Did this actually make it into the V8 models?

Cheers

I don't see it on Hyundai's US web site but definitely on the Canadian web site. Maybe Canada has more icy roads during the winter months. Can the V8 owners confirm this feature is on your car?

Oh yeah,
I just remembered that the wheels are different also! On the V6 with the premium 18" they are "9 Spoke" (which are really 18 spoke with insert) or standard 14 spoke 17". On the V8, they are "14 Spoke" (which look like 7 spoke) highly polished. The V8 14 spoke looks nothing like the standard 14 spoke V6 either.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Also rain sensing wipers, memory system

Rain sensors and memory seating is available on the V6 premium plus package... though, the seat doesnt move when you turn on or off the car. You need the tech package for that.

How would you confirm this?

I would hope that one of the dealers particiating in the forum could look up the rear differential in the part numbers and tell whether it is a limited slip design on the V8.

Cheers
