  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just got a wheel alignment done, and was told the camber can't be adjusted on the car. why is this?

car rides better put still slightly pulls to the right.

i feel like im getting wheel alignments every 3-6 months.

any one else have issues with alignments?

i live in florida our roads are pretty good compared with other parts of the country so i dont know why the alignment needs so much attention.

My 2010 sedan had a dealer alignment done back in 2013, after new tires. I gave them three shots at getting the pull to the right out of the steering, but no positive result. The service manager finally stated "These cars are known for alignment issues", although I never had this problem before changing tires. The solution? Change dealers, which I did, and they got it right the first time. I get sick of hearing the "they all do it" excuse for poor, incompetent service.

Yes the camber is known to be something that usually cannot be done on these cars. Also, I will bet dollars to donuts that your tires are causing the car to pull. Different tires reacted very differently on my genesis

i just got new brigestone potenza pole positions 245/45's all around. great tires

the dealer said the camber can't be adjusted as well on these cars.

better than before but not 100% and still slight pull to the right.

so bizarre!

I put Michelin MXM4 tires on at 44k and had the alignment done at that time. Now sitting at 70k and have not seen a need to realign. I do rotation and balance every 5k and we check the wear patterns at that time, no problems. The dealer who got the alignment right did mention that camber was not adjustable, but said his alignment guy was a well practiced master and knew how to align a Genesis correctly.

Here in Montreal, Canada, our roads are absolute garbage and we change tires every Winter then again in Spring so we never have to just "rotate"...That being said, I've had times where after a tire change, my alignment was off and I needed to pay ~$60 to fix it.

On the Genesis I've owned for 6-7 months, I've changed tires from stock to my summer performance ones, to my old winter ones, then to new studded winter tires and my alignment has been fine despite hitting some pretty major potholes and hundreds of smaller potholes daily. If my alignment isn't all over the place, there's probably no such thing as this car being known for having alignment problems.
