  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As this is my first post on this forum, I'm hoping it will generate some interest.

We just bought my wife a new Equus a couple of weeks ago and have been LOVING it. She upgraded from a Volvo C30, which in turn allowed me to trade my Panamera S for an actual sports car (Carrera GTS). But that's a whole other story.

As much as she LOVES her new Equus (did I mention how much she LOVES her new Equus?), she's not incredibly thrilled about the wheels. I think they look decent for the car, but I see her point. So, we've been looking on various sites (Wheel Studio, Wheels Next) at some 19in designs to see if there's anything we like. She doesn't want to compromise the ride quality, so we're sticking with 19s (no 20s or 21s). Which leads me to 2 basic questions:

1) What are the exact size specs for the Equus wheels (including offset)? I think they are 19x8 Front, 19x9 Rear, but not 100% sure on Offset for correct fitment. I think 35mm F, 45mm R, but also not sure.
2) Any other good sources for wheels? TireRack and DiscountTire don't include wheel options for the Equus. We don't want anything real crazy, but something a little more stylish than the Bentley look-alike wheels that it comes with.

Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure they're 19x9 front AND rear rim size, P245/45R19 front tire size and P275/40R19 rear tire size. But I don't own an Equus... so hopefully someone has a good link for you.

Good day to all

As a Genesis owner looking to upgrade to an Equus, I am starting to shop for winter rims and tires. Living here in the great white north has bean very interesting with the Genny. The stock size 18" are way to wide to drive in deep snow. I was looking to see if anybody has tried to fit 18" or even 17" rims over the rotors and calipers on the Equus. Also, how thin of a tire can we get away with. Can I reduce the with by 1,5" or 2" and maybe fit some spacers to compensate for the offset. let me know what you guys thing.
Thak you.

No I think I shall keep the origimal rims for summer.
If anyone know the minimum size of rims I can fit on the Equus???

Anyone have an idea were to find the minimum rim size that I can install on the Equus?
I dont want to have 19" winter tires.
Help!

Will you be getting the 2011 or 2012 Equus mr. snake? I heard they are due out in sept. and today is already the middle of august...Can you tell me what swayed you to an Equus over the various 2012 gennys incl the 5.0 r-spec?
Thanks!

Waiting on the 2012.

Test drove the 2011 and it was great, just love the ride. The air suspension realy does it for me.

The power was more than my current 3.8, but with the added weight...

I cant wait to see what the 5.0 is going to be like.

MS. Snake was a back problem and is looking for a confortable ride, also the cooled passenger seat is an interesting option that we cant get on the R-Speck.

We are also often 4 adults in the car. When I get to ride the back seat, it is kind of tight for a 6'2", 250 pound adult. The Equus has way more room.

One last thing, if you like luxury materials, the Equus realy shines compared to the Genesis. I have realy loved the ride of my Geny for the last 3 years, but its time to move on to better.

Once again, if anyone can tell me were to get the info on the minnimum size of rims that I can put on the Equus?

Thank you:cool:

It does not look like they have any wheels with a 5-114.3 bolt pattern which the Equus uses. It looks mostly Porsche, Audi, VW and Bentley. Wheels that fit the Shelby Cobra Mustang have the same bolt pattern as the Equus and must clear the large front brake calipers.
