  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Where are all the Genesis?

I see about 1 a week up here in Hockey Land. :D West Coast and east coast Florida they are pretty common though.

Tell me about it! I loved the Phaeton:) Matter of fact, it's the only VW I thought was worth a darn. But it was great.

Imagine how the Phaeton would have sold if it had been priced more like the Genesis!

We live in Palm Coast Florida. That's between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine.
I have NEVER seen a Genesis here. We look because we are in the market

I'm in the Stuart, FL area and have seen a total of 4 since my purchase six months ago.

I live in a suburb of Atlanta and I have only seen two outside of mine.

I live in Maryland, near Annapolis, and have seen only one Genesis besides mine since about February. This one apparently lives not far from me because I often follow, or lead, it to my office park in the morning. Haven't seen it in the afternoon, though.

26,400 miles driven through 26 states and a province...still no sightings, and only one stranger's comment/question. Suits me; I like blending in.

If they are now selling approximately 2200 of these cars a month, it is only a matter of time that they should be showing up everywhere.

Keep in mind there are more than 100,000,000 cars on the road in the US so you will have to keep a sharp eye out for them.

I think a lot of this comes down to how observant you are to cars. When I drive I'm constantly observing cars, if I don't know what it is, I take a closer look and learn. If you're the type to just zone while driving, then you won't see as many.

Just today I had ran to Wally World to p/u a few odd and ends. I live on the outskirts of KC in a town of about 25,000 people. As I was leaving I saw a beautiful silver Genny pull up at the front doors waiting to pick someone up. I have the exact same car. He saw me eyeing his car while I was carrying my bags back to mine. I knew that look in his eyes. He was thinking, "That guys loves my ride, can't figure out what it is. Damn I'm smoooth." I know that is what he was thinking b/c that's always what I'm thinking :)

As I pull out I decide to swing by and show him a little something something. He was  SURPRISED  to see me roll by in the same silver v6 Genny. I stopped and spoke with him for a few minutes. He had skipped the tech package but other than that we had the same ride. Cool to see someone in my small town with one though.

It seems the Genesis has sold well here in KC.

I have only seen 2 thus far, but my car has been getting a lot of attention. I like being the only one with an awesome car but I would love to see more out on the road. Motivate Hyundai to continue to improve and make affordable, quality cars.

Have only seen about three in the Austin area over the last year, with a few more in the towns to the south. The dealership in south Austin, however, is loaded top to bottom with new Sonatas. Haven't seen a Genesis on their lot in many months. But given Southpoint Hyundai's amateurish and unprofessional staff, I doubt they could sell many.

I never noticed any of them before I took an interest in the car. Since I've been on the lookout I think I've seen two here in Houston. Both were silver, one of them had the KDM wing badges.

The dealer I bought from had several in stock, and there was turnover in inventory between the first and second time I went in (a few weeks apart), so they must be selling at least some here in H-town.
