Can someone please tell me where I can purchase a MSA X pipe and the cat deletes. Thanks in advance
Okay awesome thanks. I was able to get in contact with MSA before they stopped selling. If I new the v6 version worked I would have saved a lot of money lolUpdate to this, I picked up a set of delete pipes for a V-6 coupe from a company called CNT. They are the exact same length and flange setup as the secondaries on the 5.0
Mind providing a youtube video? & Breakdown of what exactly you did with the exhaust? ThanksMine are now installed as well as a new Magnaflow exhaust. The car sounds great and feels much more responsive. I will be taking it back to the dyno soon.
Here's a link to a short video that I shot on my drive home from work the other night in an attempt to display how the exhaust sounds from inside the care.
I have the Magnaflow #15059 which fits the 1G with 5.0 motor and a set of test pipes/secondary cat deletes that I bought from CNT Racing (google them).
Below are a few of pics of the stock exhaust, and a few crappy shots of the underside of the car with the Magnaflow setup installed.
As far as installation, unbolt the factory exhaust from the forward bolts of the secondary cats and remove the whole thing. Install the test pipes and Magnaflow and you're done.
Install took me about 2 hours start to finish with hand tools.

If you're going that route, I would make sure that the shop will use stainless steel instead of the crappy aluminized steel that most places like to use, especially with you being in a snowbelt state. I would also recommend getting an X pipe installed after the test pipes. Most of the factory exhaust piping is right around 2.5" diam. but there are a few places where it necks down or is crimped for clearance.
That all being said, hopefully you can find a shop that will do the test pipes. Most "normal" exhaust places won't remove functional cats, even if they're secondaries or non monitored. Your best bet is to find a performance shop. Good luck!
