New 2017 G80 Owner ....Trying to install led amber turn signals The 2017's have an 1157 socket (1 positive contact and 1 ground contact )with a 2357 Amber bulb utilizing the brighter turn signal filament only. Not a big deal so I ordered these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PHRU5C4/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The socket does have 2 wires, so I wired in load equalizers as well to take care of the hyper-flashing. The only problem I'm having is the led's don't fire at all! nothing ...nada. I tested the led bulbs with a 12 v battery and they work just fine, nothing wrong with them....nice and super bright. And I know he load equalizers are working because there is no hyper flashing even with no bulb in the socket... funny thing is, I can pull out the led and pop in the incandescent bulb, and it fires right up!! I have swapped out leds ( using load equalizers) in other vehicles and never had a problem so I'm not sure what the deal is here. Maybe the circuit board sensing the difference?...I'm thinking the load equalizer would take care of that. I don't understand why they won't light, the power is there for the regular bulbs....I'm stumped... Anyone have good luck doing an led swap? Any suggestions as where to go from would be appreciated...Thanks!
