  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone seen a White Satin Pearl Genesis yet? It was my understanding that they should have been here by September 25th.

I heard they are having trouble getting the paint on the plastic parts to match the paint on the metal parts. Apparently they are trying to achieve a perfect match. From what I have heard it may be the end of 08 before we see the White Satin Pearl. I am waiting for it too.

I called the Hyundai Customer Service 800 number about two weeks ago about the White Satin Pearl (WSP) color and they took a case number and researched the problem and called me back three days later. They informed me the paint match problem has been solved and the first WSP's for the USA were manufactured in mid August and were going to arrive in the USA on Sept the 24th. However, I have not been able to locate one so far.
Does anyone know if this a true white, or some sort of off white, or even beige like? I have "heard" all three but have not been able to see a good color sample yet.

I have the color swatches for a Sonata, Azera and Genesis here. Here are a couple pics in fluorescent lighting:

Its hard to tell in the pics, but the Genesis has more metallic in it than the other 2.

Oh yeah... I like. Now I'm just waiting for the phone call :)

I saw a white v6 w/ tech today at a local San Diego dealer. It looks very nice. They happened to have it parked next to a black on black v8. Nice contrast.

i actually work for keyes hyundai here in van nuys, ca. we haven't received the white genesis yet. :(

I got my V6 Tech in White Satin Pearl with cashmere trim yesterday. The dealer (Douglas Hyundai in Santa Ana, CA) stated there were only eight in the US - half on the west coast.

All I can say is - it looks really nice! :)

How was your experience with Douglas? and can you share the OTD price of the car?

Ditto sergio's question. Wordman, please share the particulars of the deal you got at Douglas when you get a chance. I know when I first went there they were asking the $5K market adjustment. Upon return visits, they had additional markups of $295.00 for the trunk wing badge (for a part that costs 29.00) as well as $595.00 for custom wheels, which were the stock wheels with the wing wheel inserts. Just interested to see what people are actually paying there.

My wife wanted to wait for the white, but I'm glad we went with the titianium gray - even though the white looks nice!

I was there the other day and I was offer the V6 with tech pkg for 41k OTD

I got my car with standard flying H Hyundai badges. The total price was $42k and change. I put $7.5k down - that included trading in my tatty old Mustang, and a $500 factory rebate - and will be paying $450/mo for a two-year lease. Residual value after two years will be just over $25k. If I want to fit the Genesis badges at a later date, I'll buy them myself, not through Hyundai.

Brought home a Satin White Pearl V6 Tech yesterday.
