  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who has the Genesis GV70 at the TOP of their list for their next vehicle?

Lincoln looks good with monochrome pckg.. I might have to check this out aswell..
Have to get the Reserve trim, and then adding it to an Aviator with no options ticked, puts it above $60k before much of anything else. Never mind going for the bigger engine.

If they did it for the Corsair, I'd be willing to look also, but at $60k, you're pushing things for some people.

Yeah that Lincoln Aviator is definitely expensive and climbs pass 60k like you said easily. I still would choose Genesis GV70 anyday over the Lincoln though.

Bright chrome isn't my favorite, and I'm from the school of "less is more"

That being said, the whole "blackout" or "night" look that many automakers are doing isn't my cup of tea either.

Think the grille and wheels on the Telluride Nightfall looks worse than what's on the standard.

Preference would be gunmetal, pewter or the copper that Genesis had done in the past.

Anyone considering the new QX55 from Infiniti? I would assume this model would be a competitor to the GV70.
It looks really nice (inside and out) from the first few pictures and videos, but I'm having a really tough time with the engine and powertrain.
CVT?
No option over 300HP?
hmmmm.

What does people think about the 2.5 prestige using suede? Personally I don't think it's the biggest turnoff to but some people might not like it.

I thought it was the QX50? Or did they rebrand that car? Not too familiar with it

If model you’re thinking of is the new QX50, I’ve read several quite poor reviews of it.

QX55 is just the QX50 with a sloping back. The interior is a decade old and the CVT is a joke. Since it's an Infiniti, I'm sure they'll give you dirt cheap leases on it though.

The QX60 Monograph is the story from them , apparently no CVT and uses the Pathfinders new V6 tuned for more grunt , nice looking car , lots of stuff on youtube about it

I also disagree with his statement "nobody wants chrome anymore." I would go on to speculate that the majority of buyers of this car will choose chrome and bright wheels. It's very possible if you took a poll of the participants (those who comment) on this forum you may be right, however many are probably not serious buyers. Just saying.
I agree. Most of the non-sport versions of Euro SUVs feature lots of brightwork. It's only in the 'sport' or 'sport look' variants where you see the dark chrome.

GV80 is not volume constrained there are plenty of them available , they just don't sell very well ........................and chrome is the epitome of tacky , unless you're Elvis ......................
You are confusing your opinion with some sort of objective truth. No.

Suede is not my cup of tea, but to each his own.

During the event, the 3.5T Sport had suede down the Center and backing of seat and it looked and felt great (personal opinion). It will help your tushy stay put on hard cornering and it won’t retain as much heat in the summer. My wife will be thankful for that. Mind you the vented seats will solve that but the initial heat on entry can be uncomfortable with full leatherette/leather/Nappa seats

Infiniti simply lost focus and failed to invest in the product development/R&D needed to keep up with other luxury brands. Lesson for Genesis??

Suede is great, but the problem is that pretty much all automotive "suede" is just cheap-ass alcantara or some other microfiber equivalent.

I really think it is idiotic that if I want Heads Up Display I have to have suede because they are so damn inflexible with selecting options (HUD only on the 3.5 Prestige). For the price you would think the customer would be able to make a few choices...

Agree totally. It's not offered at all on the 2.5 which is making it hard to swallow. The X3 you can get it, and probably most higher end SUV's you can get it without having to fork over $55K. They really misread their potential customers here. Heads Up is an item that once you have had it, you do not want to do without it.
