  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Female or Male?
Your age (20s, 30s, 40s)?
Single or Married?

Re: Who is the audience for the Genesis Sedan?

Not an owner yet, but plan to be

I guess the poll is a bit biased. I know of many male drivers that hang out in car forums, but rarely hear about a female hanging out in car forums.

Just take a look at car meets.. it's usually 95-100% male.

The Genesis if for all ages, male or female that want's a fun car to drive :D... I am 54 and enjoy it everytime I press down on the throttle.

Male 31 :)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This is how it will turn out. :D

30's, really want a BMW as they are "brand" influenced but cannot afford it so this is the next best choice. (some buyers)
40's, Have more money and are "brand" influenced so they went BMW/Mercedes. (fewer buyers)
50's, Are more value oriented and wiser so this is main stream for the Genesis. (most buyers)

I would love a BMW, but the high maintenance costs, and overall costs, although doable, don't outweigh what I can get in a genesis.

plus I don't want to have to attend the mandatory "how to drive like an a$$) class that seems to be required when obtaining a BMW.

Married male 30's

I think the numbers are skewed by the fact that it is a car forum. most of the people i see driving Geneses are older white women (50+). Most people excited enough to look into their car online, have the computer savvy to do so are going to be men, and be able to afford a Genesis are going to be 30+ men.
I have been driving mine for the last 3 years and have maybe only seen one other under 40 male driving one. however the poll shows quite different.

Gee, lemme guess which demographic you fall into... :-)

I'm in my 30s and wanted a large luxury sedan, Genesis fit the bill perfectly.

My thoughts exactly greekgeek! This is 2016 not 1985.. I'm 33 and knew I wanted a Genesis. If I wanted a BMW their would be one in my garage!

Yup, me too. I'm in my 30's and I cross shopped a BMW 535, Mercedes E350, and a Lexus GS 350. I knew I wanted a Genesis when I went to the LA Auto Show and saw the AR550 and fell in love with how the Genesis could potentially look modified. If I had wanted any of the other 3 I could've owned any of them. I chose the Genesis. I actually had to talk the wife out of the Lexus because she liked that more. Now she totally loves the Genesis too.

Male 55

well when I bought it I was in my 20s. now I have graduated to a new demographic I guess.

married male in my 30's

20's, wiser and smarter then then your average peer group. Since IQ is clearly Einstein competitive, decision making is never a problem. Future president? Hall of fame? Noble peace prize?(all g2 owners in age group) :D

You have to admit my predictions are dead on. ;)
