The Genesis is my daily driver with roughly 14 miles round trip to and from the office. We also use this as our "family car" on the weekends unless there is snow or ice. In the snow & ice conditions we use our 2006 Subaru Outback which loves foul weather.

In six months, I've put 4,000 miles on it and averaged almost 21 mpg.

I see most of you stay close to work. Its possible but not likely here in Texas. We have avg. ~20k miles per year on the Acura TL. We normally drive on vacation trips and they are normally 2500-3000 miles in length.

Drive my car every day to work only 16 miles round trip and to son's school-sometimes come home for lunch, just cause I enjoy the ride of my Genesis. So far have only 4,400 miles in 6 months, not many miles compared to others on this website, I'm just jealous, yet driving about 1,000 more miles a month in my Genesis than my previous vehicles over the years-call me a "homebody". Most of our greatest friends that we spend time w/are many of our neighbors-we just walk to one of their houses-no need to pull "Gen" out of the garage.

You must have the V8 to be getting such poor mileage. I know it would be much better on a highway run. Enjoy your Genesis.
