  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who would sell their proverbial soul for this? If I had one... I might... :p

I don't imagine, with the right amount of patience, some soldering skills, knowledge of how LED lights work, DC current, and how a light switch functions it would be too difficult.

Of course, one would also have to know how the headliner is removed, easily.. and possibly have a source for multiple replacements should you goof.

Thoughts?

Absolutely should be Musher's next LED upgrade. [after the 2nd trunk light]:D

Okay, I deserve that...but I'll pass. If I don't stop tweaking this car with nominally-functional aftermarket stuff, the cost delta between Genesis and everybody else will disappear! And I still have to write a check for $2K for the winter wheel/tire/TPMS set-up (and another $60 for that second trunk light, which is on the way ;)).

Besides, I can just open the moonroof on a starry night and gaze at the real deal!

Very nice! I'm a Phantom freak (!) and I never knew about that..

We'd need a CAD model of the car, with the proper templates first. To toy with.. for proper virtualisation of disassembly. Before getting hands on.

And then we'd have to do a small scale one.
