  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who's The Genesis King of the Road?

2009 purchased new in November 2009.

Just over 43k miles in 14 months. Still drive my 2005 Mercedes C230 with 203,000 miles on it and just bought a 2006 Ford Cargo van that I've been driving around too.

So far, just little issues. Nothing big and nothing that has left me stranded.

I did nail a possum a month ago that took out my passenger fog light, fender liner, and cracked my bumper. Car is finally going into the body shop tomorrow to be fixed. Going to have them paint my roof black while its there.

Car is titanium Gray. I'm not sure if it's the trend. I have yet to meet anyone that has done it; however, in the spirit of being different and because I love the look of the 2009 Mercedes E350 with the panoramic roof, I decided to give my Genesis a similar look. I'll post up pictures once its done.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it turns out nice.
We'll soon see.

Built 17 October 2008
Purchased 20 December 2008

One insanely long drive was over 4th of July 2009 weekend, from Southern California to Denver and back. I did 1,005 miles in 16 1/2 straight hours on the way back (including one hour lost to dinner in Vegas). Couldn't have asked for a better car for the drive.

Now: 39,600 miles, Dunlops replaced yesterday with Kumho Ecsta LX after a nasty puncture over the weekend. Puncture also busted a TPMS sensor as it turned out (it was cracked and soon quit working) - will need to order a new one shortly. Ecsta has good Tirerack.com reviews and a 3-part asymmetric tread, lemme see how they work out.

FYI, Kumho's cheaper Solus tires are the OEM equipment on the Genesis for the Middle East. KDM OEM tires are the same Dunlop crap used for the US market.

2011, 4.6 - 487miles. bought with 145 miles on it, 1-16-2011 Dont think I am high man here. :)
