  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Why did you choose the Genesis?

Today was a first. I got flagged down at the toll booth to the Lincoln Tunnel in NYC . I couldn't get over to the E-Z pass lane, so I had to go through the Cash/E-Z pass lane. The toll taker stopped me with a motion to stop. I asked if there was a problem. She said:" Not if you leave me that car !!", she had called the guy over from the next booth to look at the car with her. All he could say was : "Nice ride". Pretty funny. Nobody ever stopped me in my Audi !!!

I really appreciate all the input, when I drove the Genesis everything just felt tighter and better put together than the G37, its hard to describe so I was just needing reassurance I guess. The low number of Genny's I see on the road had me worried, but I think it may just be a well kept secret down here in Houston.

Hyundai should pay you guys, on my spreadsheet of pro's and con's off the cars I am looking at has a big plus for the Hyundai for genesisowners.com

Because of size, I was seriously looking at the M35x rather than the G37 as an alternative. Living in the snow belt, I was attracted to all wheel drive with the M, but I realized that it was nearing a redesign. The M45 was more expensive than the Genesis, and the 4.6 was a very highly regarded engine. Not to buy into the hyperbole, but the early promo stuff, "priced like a 3-series, fast like a 5, big as a 7" really is spot on. Absolutely no regrets for choosing the 4.6, although the car mags say the 6 cylinder is more than enough. This has been the best car choice I've ever made, no regrets. BTW, I prefer this look over the Equus too.

We drove a 1995 LS400 for ten years. Good car but showing a little age. Looked at M35 and Is 350 before driving the Genesis. I am 6'4" so the Genesis fit me very well compared to the other two.. If the money were the same I would be driving a Lexus LS460, but for half the money the Genesis is one heck of a car. Will it last twelve years? Who knows? It is a pleasure to drive and the Lexicon sound system is great. Very comfortable road car.
