  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Why not just change the Hyundai logo?

...and if they start making great cars, then the logo will signify greatness.

I remember it like it was yesterday. In 1970 I brought home a new BMW 2002 from Germany. Everybody who saw the hood badge said, "What the hell brand of car is that?" "That's supposed to be a propeller, " said I. "No, it doesn't stand for British Motor Works."

The problem with the Hyundai logo isn't that people don't know what it is. A lot of people remember all too well the disastrous introduction of Hyundai Excel to the US in late 1980's. As time goes on, and the old farts who remember the 1980's die off, then Hyundai will be in a lot better shape (but they are not doing too badly now).

Hyundai needs to change their swoosh-H period; it's one of the worst looking badges in the history of the auto industry.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it's the worst, but IMO it's certainly not one of the more attractive of the logos. :)

Here's Hyundai's showroom in Seoul.

And this is their new worldwide dealership template.

Since some US dealerships have already renovated to the blue themed design, they will be exempted from making the change.

Once all the other dealerships have completed the renovations, can no longer complain about the look/feel of the dealerships; and as long as the Genesis models are separated and have their own showroom and/or service waiting room - don't really see the need for a separate dealer network (that $$ could be better spent in Hyundai expanding their luxury lineup and enabling them to keep undercutting the Japanese).
