  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wide Wheels and Tire Sizing G70

I'm looking at wheels now for summer, I have the rims narrowed down to two that I really like...What would be a good squared set-up tire wise on a 19x8.5 et35 thanks

I just mounted a set of 19x8.5 ET 35 rims from a Hyundai Genesis Coupe with Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS in 255/35ZR19 and they are fantastic! It makes the car feel so much more planted and I can really power out of a turn now with the extra rubber up front.

No issues with rubbing on the fenders or the suspension, there's about 5-7mm between the tire and the strut.

255s up front and 305s in back. Specs shown above. Tiny amount of poke in back but it’s not noticeable unless you’re pretty close since it looks flush from far away

Did you need to use spacers to get the 255s in the front? I'm running 20x9 235s and im about 5mm from the strut as it is.

Nope it fits fine for me

I had my wheels and tires mounted this week Ferrada FR2 19X8.5 et35 with a 245/40/19 and 19X9.5 et40 with 275/35/19.. Continental Extreme Contacts DWS06 all the way around..I have to say the ride quality didn't change much and overall I'm extremely pleased...Now on to changing the color of the caliper!!

Il try 305/35r.19 staying g up a bit
Did you ever get them to fit? I'm looking at doing a 305/35R19 in the back also.

Not sure how far I can go with size. I have the eibach lowering springs on the shelf as well. Didn't want to put them on and then find out I couldn't fit bigger tires after the fact. Does anyone know the stock offsets for the G70s?

Base:
8Jx18 ET34

Sport:
8Jx19 ET34
8.5Jx19 ET46.5

Anyone know what's the biggest size we can fit in the front wheel arch? Lowered and not-lowered? My car is AWD if that helps.

305's are a bit excessive for this platform don't you think? Why spend the money on extra tire, if it's not needed?

I got the answer to my own question today. 265/40R19 WILL fit in the front on stock suspension. My wheels are aftermarket, 19x8.5 +30.

You can fit maybe 1 or 2 dollar bills through and that's it 🤣. But the most important thing was that they didn't rub. Once the tires come in and are on the car. I'll post some pics

Why go that big? Well I'm running a 305/35R19 drag radial in the rear and the 265/40R19 is the size needed to stay in spec. Also, it looks pretty badass IMO.

Any pictures of the setup?

The rears are on but the fronts are not. Today I was just test fitting to see if it were even possible. Didn't make sense to buy the tire at that size without knowing if it could fit.

The tire that was used was a Pirelli that matched the size for what I want. I'm ordering Nittos for the front and will post pics once they come in and are on.

Because not every mod is for performance or trying to beat a record. Some just like the look and that's ok too.
