  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wide Wheels and Tire Sizing G70

Wanted the front wheels to be perfectly flush!

I'm on Yellow Speed Racing coilovers which are really great. They're not cheap offbrand stuff, never heard of them, but they ride nice.
Sorry if anyone's seen this pic already, just got a new setup. ESR RF2 19x8.5 +30 with a 7mm spacer and 19x9.5 +35. 245/40/19 and 275/35/19.

About the subject of this thread, if anyone's reading this and thinking about aftermarket wheels and tires, I just want to second what Volfy said. I've been through 4 wheel/tire setups and this is the thinnest set of wheels with the tallest sidewall i've run yet. Just remember that while 10 inch wide wheels with a 305 tire might look nice, it might not dynamically be the best.

Reviving an old thread but are you AWD? trying to figure out is this setup fits AWD circumference tolerances.

...with the caveat that alignment is to be corrected for the new suspension and wheel/tire setup.

Lowering affects alignment, especially rear camber. On our 6MT 2.0T G70, there was enough adjustment in the OEM eccentric camber bolt to bring rear camber back down to about -1deg. That works well for our street and track setups (255/40R18 and 245/40R18) With wider tire and/or larger wheel diameter, you'd want less camber. Depending on the weight of your car and which lowering spring kits you choose, you could quite possibly run out of rear camber adjustment range. This happened to quite a number of Stinger drivers, who lowered their cars. Understandable, since Stinger is a heavier longer-wheelbase version of the same chassis.

If you run with incorrect alignment for your tire setup, you might see abnormal tire wear, like accelerated wear on the inside edge of tire tread. This is quite common with the Stinger/G70 crowd.

Even beyond that, your real-world tire grip might be compromised, which is counter-intuitive, given that most folks think wider tires give better traction.

ha ha yessssssss.

i actually could go +23 or +24 in the front but the fender liner would rub

That looks KILLER!!

That looks KILLER!!
thanks, it took me an unbelievably long time and amount of wasted money to figure out the best combination of sidewall, rolling diameter, offset, wheel design and ride height. this meets all my criteria

Now that is sexy AF!!! Great job from top to bottom, front to back, looks SO proper!

255s up front and 305s in back. Specs shown above. Tiny amount of poke in back but it’s not noticeable unless you’re pretty close since it looks flush from far away
im trying to run 18x10 weld beadlock w 305/45/18, if ur able to make it work then i could too

any rubbing going w 19's and 10.5??

any rubbing??? im trying to go 305 on 18x10 welds, 305/45/18
absolutely no way that's gonna work. not only will your speedometer be off by 11.5% but you'll gain an inch and a half of ride height. assuming you got custom beadlocks that are flush fitment, you will rub really badly on the edge of the fender. and you will also wreck the inner fender liner. i'm comparing this to my current setup which itself is already bigger and wider than stock. so nah don't try this.

also, you can quote multiple posts in ur reply if u don't want to post 5 different times

Well I don’t understand there’s 2 guys who were able to fit 305’s on 19inch rims , I’m tryna do it at 18x10 , maybe 40 aspect ratio with a 45 offset, either 45et or 30et , but 30 will stick out and look ugly But idk man I want 305’s on lagunas welds, wanna b first genesis with welds,

So how is ur set up rn I see ur going 275/30/19 35 offset any rubbing, cuz if thats oka I just gotta do the conversion from that to what im tryna do, so maybe instead of 45 sidewall maybe 40, I just want that tire look yk, looks better on welds, but thank you for ur input, was close to buying it in that spec, I gotta do more research and math. I’m also in ark lower springs, .75 inch drop all around so I gotta keep that in mind, I contacted welds but they don’t care to me ig

hey ik i been botheringu so much becuase im also tryna run 305's in the rear, but on 18's x10 not 19x10.5 so if anything mine should work to right?, tires would either be 305/40/18 or 305/45/18, i doubt 45 will work because it mess up my speedometer, and liftme up which i dont mind. im also on lowering springs by ark performance, drops .75 inches all around, since ur dropped now u r now experiencing rubbing which is a no for me so i gotta get my lazy ass up and do measurements, the poke is nice i dont mind urs i should expect same like urs

Hello, new to the Genesis brand and have been researching like crazy to try and find an answer. This thread has gotten me close to an answer but not quite. want to run a square setup on my '24 Sport Prestige. I think these will fit, but front will be tight with 255/35R19 tires. Braelin BR12 19x9 +30 all the way around.

I'm not sure if that would clear in the front or not but, you'll need to change the center bore size to 67.1mm.
