will 21x9 wheels fit on front of sedan

I just bought a 4.6 sedan an want to put 21x9 wheels on the front.(First time poster)The wheels i like have a 38mm offset .Does anybody have a similar offset with a 9'' wheel pics would be great help. I also plan to lower it with coilovers if it matters.Any advice would help.

Why stop at 21"? Why not go all the way with 24"? <grin>

21" lowered with coilovers will just void your warranty, but I guess you already know that.

Lastly, you said "any advice would help". My advice, DON'T DO IT. :grouphug:
 
A poster in another thread stated that 8.5" wide wheels rubbed on one of the front end components.
 
Big wheels, no tire sidewall- I would skip this urban configuration and go no more than 20"ers. 9 wide will rub, leaving you to put large spacers making the hideous appearance of the tires sticking waaay out from the wheel wells.
 
I wanted to go with 22x9 fronts and 22x10 rears which I am sure can fit on the car with the right offset but my car is lowered on coilovers and at the height which it is currently set, 22s would not fit and I would have to raise the car. 21 inch wheels should work but there are less styles/offsets available to choose from.

I currently run 20x8.5 and 20x10 which work with no issues whatsoever and I have the car lowered right down to the tires. I don't have any type of rubbing and the ride in my opinion is still quite good. Going with 21" or 22" wheels, the sidewalls will be even lower and the ride will be worse.

I myself have never heard of aftermarket wheels or shocks voiding a warranty. Only should there be some type of failure that is a direct cause of installing an aftermarket part should this be an issue. This would only come up assuming that you have some type of problem to begin with. To my knowledge, a manufacturer can't just come out and say that you have aftermarket wheels and coilovers so therefore your warranty is voided.

Wheels themselves are probably one of the most widely upgraded features on any car. Many dealers themselves offer wheel upgrades through their dealerships. Shocks and springs are a commonly replaced part due to regular wear and tear. There should be no reason that you would have to replace these with OEM parts only to maintain your warranty.

I could be completely talking out my a#$ but unless there is a clause in the warranty that specifically says you can't change wheels size or replace shock with non-OEM parts, I wouldn't worry.

i have a question about rims, i have a 2.0t rspec with 19 inch factory rims, if i throw 18 inch rims on will i get the free tires still at 25k miles? like free 18 inch tires insted of free 19s
