Windshields do crack/break from rocks thrown by cars and especially construction trucks.
Insurance companies (mine is USAA) are loath to replace glass with the very expensive OEM official Hyundai glass. Aftermarket windshield glass is of very good quality and much cheaper. USAA uses Safelite, a national company to do the replacements.
Safelite tech examined my windshield and determined that the windshields offered by Safelite do not have the sensors of my OEM windshield; and, further nothing in Safelite's vast inventory will fit. So.....Safelite will order an OEM windshield directly from Hyundai, at insurance company's expense. This will cause some delay, so this is just a warning that you too will experience such a complication.
Finally, there is a plastic cover surrounding the inside rear view mirror. It is very difficult to remove without breaking a special mounting tab located on right side of cover. This tab is weird in that it appears to have no means for dismount. Safelite will obtain a new cover.
