  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Winter wheel & tire packages?

Glad to help. No chance to test them in snow here in the DC metro area.

I am in New Hampshire, so it is just a matter of time for me.

Unfortunately, the TR site is showing that the Vulcan is out of stock until June(!), so I will have to choose something else.

SVTONG posted the following specs:

T3 72.62mm. - 67.1mm. Hub Centre Rings (Set of 4) x1
Fast Wheels FC04 (Titanium) Wheels 18" x 8" 5/114.3 30 72.62 x4

When I go onto 1010 tires, and use the 2018 Stinger GT2, the website suggests:

Fast Wheels Switch (Titanium) Wheels 18" x 8" 5/114.3 35 67.10

Should I be concerned with the Hub size of 67.10 versus 72.62? Thoughts from people who have ordered wheels for their Genesis G70 3.3T AWD?

Thanks!

Stock wheels are 67.1mm but as long as you use hubcentric ring the T3 (72.62 to 67.1), you should be fine.
Also if the hubcentric rings are made in hard plastic, they may crack over time. See if you can ask for aluminum ones.

i just checked online and it appears that Genesis Canada has discontinued 2 of the 3 winter wheel choices, and 1 of the 3 tire choices. now there are only 1 wheel and 2 tires to choose from. Conti tires are out, as are the Fast wheels.

must be backorder issues or manufacturer supply problems.

i did receive the Fast Switch 212 Titanium wheels as ordered, but the Conti tires were substituted at no cost to a different model (much higher-end) from the Conti SI from the website. that was back in October so supply issues have persisted for quite some time.

Where do you see the wheel options? I only one choice of wheels and then two choices of tires. But my GXM did mentionthat some of them are back ordered, IIRC.

View attachment 16303I put my winters on last night just before the snow stayed to fall. 18's with Michelin X Ice 3, bought aftermarket.
They look really good! Do they stick out at all? I would love to to see a picture looking at them from the front of the car, looking straight down the side of the car, and from above, looking down at the fender and tire.

18 inch package I got from the dealer. Looks great and I almost prefer the look of these wheels to the 19's.

BTW, snapped this photo today in Banff National Park. View attachment 17859
Yeah the G003 wheels are sick!
I got them after the Switch was out of stock for the same price after I saw how good it looked based on another members pics!
They do hold a lot of dirt though!
I clean them constantly cause the salt and sand mixture becomes caked in mud!

Ordered from TireRack:

18x8 Enkei Performance Draco Anthracite
225/45R-18 Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 XL
433MHz Tire Pressure Sensor

I planned on ordering Sottozeros but, since the wheels and tires were in different locations, it would have taken too long to get them. So I ended up with the Blizzaks. No regrets, though.

(Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures with a beautiful scenic backdrop.)

Nice set of wheels, Anthracite was a good color choice.

Thanks. The information that you provided was very helpful. I was originally looking for black (so that they would be different from the stock Sport wheels), but the black Vulcans were out of stock, supposedly until June. I wanted to stick with the +35 offset and ended up with the Dracos, which were not available in black. I am happy with them.

Looks real good. Can you post the wheel + tire combination? Can you also comment about how they handle rough winter roads?

I'm already planning on getting new wheels and tires for my Genesis 3.3 TT Sport (with brembo). Since the winter roads are shitty here in Quebec, I wonder if 225/50/r18 would fit on this car. I don't want to spend too much time replacing tires in the winter.

It will fit. There's enough wheel gap there to not rub. Might throw off the odometer a little but at least you'll have more sidewall!

FYI selling my G70 Winter Tire Package Fast Switch 212 and ContiWinter Contact asking $1800. Like new, less than 2500kM on them.

Reason for selling is I'm selling the car for a larger vehicle. See classifieds for my add with pics. Located in Toronto, Canada and only willing to do local pickup.

Let me know if interested.

^ well that sucks man...such an amazing ride. How much are you selling the car for? I might have a buddy in Burlington that might bite. How many miles on it? I assume you paid $57,700 CAD for it.
