  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wipers

If you do unplug sensor, will you get a warning light on the dash cluster?
Did you do this, or are you simply speculating?

I’m not seeking a backyard remedy. I’m just pointing out the shortcomings of Hyundai’s current technology versus older tech that works well enough. Nobody ever complained that intermittent wipers don’t work.

I have not tested it for myself, the auto lights are integrated with the rain sensor and they failover to On when disconnected.

I just went and took the mirror apart to test and just unplugging the sensor *does not* throw an immediate error or actually set intermittent mode. So my statement is incorrect.

During the last 3 years the only time I changed my wiper adjustment from auto was when I drived thru the carwash.

Can you dissertate further on your hypothesis?

The only thing I can think is, some Genesis must be just different, I got my car in 2017 and at first the auto wiper was a little lazy (would not start for a light drizzle), so I played with the sensitivity adjustment a few times, then I found a sweet spot, (a little above half). since then, I have not had a problem with the auto wiper feature.
