  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Crupp:

SO sorry to hear your news. I am sitting here stunned by your story - like mouth hanging open stunned! I'm glad insurance is covering the engine. What problems are you concerned about down the road? Since no water got into the interior of the car, you should be fine there, right? And if there are problems with the engine down the road, don't you get the same awesome Hyundai warranty? It may certainly be a little more inconvenient with little problems, but i am optimistic you'll be satisfied with the new engine.

THanks Seth. My concerns really revolve around the electronics side. The enigine will have the full warranty as a new car so that's nice. I'm actually pretty lucky with no interior damage or electrical damage the problem was purley mechanical which seems to be alot more cut and dry to fix.

**Dealer called he said "come get your car it's puurrring like a kitten". They did have to put a new starter in as well. So it's off to the dealership to bring 'er home.

After 2 painfull weeks the Genie is back. I have to admit I can not tell a bit of difference. I put about 50 miles on it Highway and City and not single hiccup. So far so good.

200 miles and no problems. I think all will be well.
