  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

wtf is with $1115 in "dealer-installed equipment"

Bought my car from there. All of the add-ons were already done. I was fine with all weather mats and tint, but really didn't care about the scotch stuff. But I got circle pricing and the regular MF rate so I was fine with paying for the extras. It was still a good deal.

That is for pure nitro. I have a contact and can get the 78% stuff for a lot less. I'll fill your tires with it for only $100. You won't find a better deal.

Just be careful with dihydrogen monoxide. Kids drink that stuff every day and it kills thousands every year.

Just be careful with dihydrogen minoxide. Kids drink that stuff every day and it kills thousands every year.

Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.Dihydrogen monoxide:

  • is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
  • contributes to the “greenhouse effect.”
  • may cause severe burns.
  • contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
  • accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
  • may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
  • has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Contamination is reaching epidemic proportions!

Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the Midwest and southern States.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

  • as an industrial solvent and coolant.
  • in nuclear power plants.
  • in the production of styrofoam.
  • as a fire retardant.
  • in many forms of cruel animal research.
  • in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
  • as an additive in certain “junk-foods” and other food products.

Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its “importance to the economic health of this nation.” In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

what did they add on to get it to that price? The window sticker online shows only 2 items added of *First Aid Kit $45.00 · *Rear Bumper Appliqué $80.00 and those should be easy as hell to negotiate away

Nothing that I could visibly see except tint, I saw it on a Sunday I will stop by and get a picture of the Window Sticker tomorrow if I have time.

My car has them and I actually like having them. They are actual Genesis options. I don't want dealer added coating, pin stripes, nitrogen tires, alarms, whatever jacks profit.

I’ve got them too, along with the cargo tray and cargo net. I think they’re all pretty great, but I don’t think anyone should be paying for them if they don’t want them

I have the cargo tray (I like it), first aid kit (meh), wheel lock lugs (you can have them). Really, if someone wants four wheel lock lugs and the lug key let me know.

I always start haggling based on the Monroney sticker price. I have never considered any dealers add-ons when discussing the final price. If the dealer doesn't want to take away the "dealer installed add-ons", I just walk away.

Nice touch that you can see a salesperson to look at a model without the add ons. I'd be looking at another dealer.

I'm cashing out my 401k to invest in Nitrogen futures. Wow, that is pure thievery.

If only the demand were so great and the supply so limited that they could do this with impunity.
Who buys this car but knows so little about it that they could be swindled so?

They're doing this even to used cars. We went to "our" Hyundai/Genesis dealer to get our daughter '15 Santa Fe and when we saw it, we started laughing and the salesperson laughed with us, lol

How the heck can you put some of their options on the car which is out of warranty anyway? LOL

I agree with you about coffee though, they do have a good coffee from Starbucks......aaaaaaaand it's FREE!!!!!

The Napleton "Xperience" is certainly worth $1,400 for floor mats and the "extreme all weather protection package", which one clearly needs in South Carolina.

You'd think as part of the $5,000 dealer markup they could be bothered to align the freaking printer for the bottom line.

^ nope, for that you need to add the "Document Control Package", which is an add-on to the dealer document fee (which just covers the printer ink and paper). pretty standard, really.

this practice is part of the screenplay for the new Tom Cruise thriller/sequel "The Firm Too"

lol...
