  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lately after restarting my car and turning on XM radio. XM always starts on XM channel 1 Preview. Is there a way to bypass this and just have it tune to some other station such as my favorites list?

I don't recall XM radio doing this channel 1 at startup. Is this just temporary? Any help please.

Thanks and happy holidays.

It shouldn't do that. Try having XM re-fresh your car. If that doesn't work, take it to the dealer.

In a previous thread someone correctly pointed out that once SiriusXM loses contact with the Mother Ship (I think this was a fabulous description) that it defaults to Channel 1 preview. I had this problem too and until I read the earlier thread. I was also perplexed by what was happening. I've since experimented with it and have learned that to keep this from happening, I have to turn SiriusXM off prior to entering my garage, or any other area where signal is lost, in order to keep the satellite receiver on the channel where I've set it.
I wish I could remember who posted this so credit could be given where it is due.
