  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Before my XM trial ended a few months ago, I received a series of renewal offers, which I ignored because of the high price. Since then, I've gotten a couple of half-off offers ($77 for one year of XM Select). I decided to give it a try, so I went to the specified web site and entered my ID and account number. The attached pic shows the result for the past few days.

I'll probably try calling the toll-free number, but this doesn't bode well for XM. (Based on posts here, I at least know not to give them my credit card number.)

With all the alternatives to XM these days, there is no reason to keep it if it is music you're after. Stream from your phone, USB, IPODs or even CDs. I don't miss XM.
