  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is the XM tuner built into the radio or is it a separate module stored somewhere in the trunk? I've been without XM for two months now. The dealership replaced one radio but it has the same radio I'd which leaves me to believe the tuner is separate. SiriusXM said the tuner was probably bad and to have it replaced, instead the dealership replaced the radio and have since ordered me another radio because the first replacement didn't resolve the problem. Forgot to mention that I have the premium/technology package.

I don't know, and if I were in your spot I would not care, but would tell the dealer to fix the d**m XM radio and give me a loaner until you get it fixed.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
For the Tech package the XM tuner is part of the digital amp module located in the trunk.

Thanks homeofstone and mikec for your reply. I finally got the dealer to agree that the issue was the Ext Amp Assy which is on order. I'm getting the feeling that Hyundai didn't want to approve the replacement because of the cost. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem and dealing technical advisors at Hyundai, they finally gave in and approved the replacement. Didn't realize it was that expensive to replace, $2,470.09.
