  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have seen mention of people anticipating deals or even HAPP pricing once the 10's started rolling out. Has anyone picked up any recent buzz on this. I am sitting on the fence now not sure whether to pick up an '09, wait for the '10, or just keep driving my '03 Accord that is still cruising just fine. I love the Genesis and have had my eye on it for awhile but haven't fallen off the fence. A great price on an '09 may just do it.

HAPP V8-w/tech $36,924 V6-w/tech $35,436 for the 2009 I think they are at a good price.

Great prices. But what's (or who's) HAPP?????

that's if you, or know someone who works for Hyundai Corporate ;)

HAPP prices are already great imo - like $32k for a 3.8 with PPP package, $36 for a 3.8 with Tech, or $34 for a base 4.6. Since HAPP is based on invoice price and not additional end of year incentives, I don't think you'll get a combined deal on them as dealers aren't well reimbursed by corporate. You can either get HAPP at -2% invoice or wait and see what Hyundai offers later in 2010 to finally move leftover 09s, but then you're starting back at invoice.

Considering the package differences, I personally think an 09 with Premium Package Plus is better than a 10 with the packages due to the smaller wheels - you can only get the larger wheels with the tech package now. Its not an issue if you're getting a full loaded car though.

HAPP instructions to dealers.
Program Price
Effective October 1, 2009, Hyundai's Associate Purchase Program has been greatly enhanced and offers those who qualify the ability to purchase a new Hyundai for less than "dealer invoice minus any applicable consumer and dealer rebates".
The new pricing structure for the Associate Purchase Program is as follows:

* Dealer Invoice
* Less 3% of MSRP
* Less Current Consumer Rebate (if any)
* Less Applicable Dealer Rebate or Incentive (if any)
* Plus Freight
* Plus Advertising Fee

Note that the total invoice includes the inland freight and handling fee listed on the dealer invoice. Dealer-installed accessories that are not included in the price of the vehicle shall be negotiated as part of the total vehicle purchase.

Someone on another thread had alluded to Hyundai potentially making HAPP pricing available to the public. Does anyone have any speculation on this?

In the local paper today, there was a 2009 Genesis 4.6 with Tech for just over $36K. I think that sounds about right. Good to see some are getting the 2010 for ~$40K.

Two weeks back, I bought my 2009 V6 for $1000 under invoice. Another Atlanta area dealer knowing I might wait for the 2010 just phoned with the 2010 V6 Premium at $1100 under list price.

So does anyone know: what is the invoice price for a 2010 V6 with Tech package?

They haven't been posted on the HAPP site yet. I waiting to see what price will be listed at before I decide on 2009 or 2010.

Are you asking for dealer invoice or HAPP invoice? For dealer invoice go to www.edmunds.com or www.truecar.com and build your car. They will list MSRP, invoice (does not include regional ad fee I believe), and what others are paying. Naturally other are paying to much, just use that number as a reference. Just ask the dealership to see the invoice. They will show it to you. Just remember invoice is not what the dealer paid for the car. There are holdbacks and dealer incentives that the general public does not have access to.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Edmunds.com shows the 2010 Base V6 invoice at $30,940, plus:

$5,005 invoice cost for Tech Package
$2,275 inovice cost for Premium Package
$1,820 invoice cost for Premium Navigation Package
and of course the $800 for freight.

Thanks folks. since the HAPP site doesn't have the 2010 up yet, I just wanted t make sure that the dealer would use the proper invoice price when selling it to me via HAPP. Anyway, I went there and it didn't matter right away because they didn't have the color I was looking for (and they couldn't find it anywhere either). Their website had indicated that they had the car in the color I wanted but... oh, well.

On October 28,2009 I purchased a Pearl White V6 with the Tech package for $34,450. Is this a good price ???
