  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

You will win in a drag race

Picture a bunch of guys having a beer, maybe bragging a bit:
My new Corvette is really fast
I like how smooth my Caddy is
My Lexus is really quiet
The G70 is really sleek.

Then you have a chance to brag "I drive a Tata"
Someone would say my "Tata" feels good to drive, want to test it out for yourself?
The look of the other guys would be priceless.:ROFLMAO:

I drag raced a black jeep cherokee this morning. It was pretty damm quick for a big SUV. I think it had a big ole Hemi or something in it.
But I won.
The Genesis 5.0 is a muscle car. It's awesome.
Probably the SRT version. It's a step up from the standard V8 model and close to a 5.0 Genny in performance. A Trackhawk is a different story though. That thing is a beast.

yeah, no way it was a Trackhawk if he was really trying!

i beat 90% of the cars i run into on the street.

You guys do realize that people drag raced before the invention of Launch Control? Also most Hipsters have no idea of what Reaction time is (How quick you launch in relation to green light). So if you want to stop light race go ahead, you have two feet, one for brake, one for gas and keep eyes fixed on that green, you should be gone as it changes not after it's green.

2 feet? just use auto hold, unless you are running up the rpms to the stall point for a quicker launch. but I believe that the computer will get stupid when it detects both gas and brake pedal being pressed simultaneously..

I just use auto hold and mash the gas, I watch the side traffic light, not the one in front of me, the moment it goes from yellow to red I'm gone.. I know its why I beat the mustang, youngster was too busy waiting for the green, I've spent my life racing on and off tracks, I may be an overweight old guy buy my reactions are very quick.

Well, I actually got paired against a blue late model Lexus GS F(my favorite sport sedan) at a couple lights. The car is rated to do 0-60 mph in about 4.4 second per Car and Drive tests. Well, at the first light I punched it a bit to 50mph just to get his attention. The driver quickly caught up and paired up at the next light. At the next light we both punched it to about 55mph and both cars was nearly neck and neck.

The Lexus GS F had me about a bumper, however I actually was in ECO mode with my Sprint Booster set to race #9. Not bad, considering that I was not in Sport mode and the Genesis is a slower car with less HP per tests. The Lexus GS F 5.0 V8 is rated for about 469 HP.

I could have done the race in Sport mode, but I did not want to hit 70mph on a public street even if it was late at night. I usually have a little fun to about 55mph and then let off the throttle on public streets where the speed limit is usually 45mph in my area. Cops give you about 10mph over the limit in my area.

Sport mode with the Sprint Booster set to race #9 will have me reaching 70+ mph in a blink of the eye, so the race would have been more in my favor in Sport mode.

The Genesis is very quick for its size without a doubt.

I recently bought the Spring Booster v3 for my 2016 3.8 awd. I love it! Spend most of my time in Sport #9 and ECO mode and it's a lot of fun in everyday driving. Race #9 and Sport Mode for Genesis is a great combination for stop light challenges! :>)

LOL. The Sprint Booster really does change the nature of the Genesis.

My 5.0 really behaves more like an Mustang or Challenger on the road when in Sport mode and the Sprint Booster set to race 9. Hell, it moves like one of those car as well. I am sure that your 3.8 is more fun to drive as well since the 3.8 is pretty quick as well even in stock form.

Just regular sport mode is fine for me.... It's not all that hard to find knuckleheads asleep at the switch. Despite the "5.0" & quad exhausts, they think it's an "Old Man Car" until they see the tail lights.
