Awesome thread, fellas. Thanks!

Don't buy a cheap imitation Apple Lightning to 30-pin adapter! I bought the imitation adapter for $18 and it was waste of money. iPhone is charged but not connected to audio system. I guess only genuine Apple adapter works perfectly.
I can't get mine to work properly with the Equus. It recognizes one album (about a dozen songs) on the phone and will play it. The other 375 plus songs are not recognized (don't show up). I never got the iPhone 4s to work at all (play songs) with the former Genesis. The iPhone 3 worked fine with the Genesis.
Are u by chance using iTunes Match ? If so it can't see what's not actually on your phone
I guess I'm too old to understand how iTunes Match works. Even though I believe I actually have most songs downloaded from the cloud I still have problems. I found one song that said was still on the cloud and downloaded it to the phone and now that one will play but most of the others that I'm reasonably sure are on the phone will not play. Are u by chance using iTunes Match ? In iOS 6 if u just start playing a song from your library it streams it now doesn't just download it as before so that's the reason u think u have. U actually have to click the small cloud button now to download them to your device that will fix your issue. So don't blame it on your self they changed the way it worked
The 3.5mm jack on the OEM cable has an extra conductor which is probably for video, but neither my iPhone 3 or Nano output video signal but worked fine.
Can anyone confirm that the Apple brand adapter works?
2012 Genesis 5.0 Finally got my iPhone 5 and two "cheap aftermarket" 30 pin to lightning adapters. One does not work at all, the other only charges. Both result in the AUX display reading: No Video Signal.
Genuine Apple 30pin to lightning adapter on the way. But it is clearly described as not supporting video. Why is the Genesis entertainment system looking for a video signal?
