  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis pic

i personally liked the grilles of the 2009-2011 the best. the 2012-2013 are close enough where i still like them.

The genesis grill is similar to others, yet still unique enough to know its a genesis when you see it.

to me this new grill screams Chrysler 200

Totally agree! I don't think we've seen the "real" Genny yet. Those two pics don't look like the same car at all.

They are the same car. Different cameras, different conditions. Here's another:

edit by Administrator: Sorry, another image that needs to be removed. Unfortunately, people's jobs and livelihoods are at stake here - lawsuits and all...

I don't mind the front as much as others; I'm not totally sold on the back from the roofline on back. From that angle, the back sorta resembles the offspring of a Ford Fusion and an Acura TL one-night-stand.

From the side it's hard to tell... Will reserve judgement for when I see in person for the first time.

I look at some pictures of my car now and I don't like it. But as soon as I see it in person I like it again. Weird.

In the wild...

I'm confused. Is this the same picture that was in Korea?

If so, did you take the picture in S. Korea?

Or am I waaaay off base?

He already said it was an HMA shoot in LA.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
lol the Passat? The Chrysler 200?! You guys can't be serious. I wonder if some of you are having a hard time digesting the new Genesis because it is such a departure from the current one. IMO, it looks fantastic and doesn't look like anything else on the road.

From the first pic, the rear tires do look wider, not a shadow. But I'm not a fan of the grill.

The second pic, looks like a long nose and short trunk, Ala Jaguar, which I do like. I just hope they didn't loose any interior or trunk room. That would be a big let down.

I think the roof-line makes it look like there is less trunk space than the out-going model.

looks a lot like the front page photo from Korea, suspicious

And that was the reason for my post. Have you noticed he hasn't come back and tried to defend these statements.

The pic he posted is totally the exact picture you referenced. Yet, I get my butt jumped by lots of peeps when I questioned it....... Why would he be "invited" to a photo-op and only take ONE picture?????? It is because he wasn't there and he didn't take the picture. All he took was "credit" for having taken it.

If I'm wrong about this (doubt it) then I'll never post in this forum again.

I hope you are wrong.

The reports of his demise were greatly exaggerated.

Even if you're wrong (I doubt it as well), there's no reason to stop posting. Personally, I don't think there's enough traffic here as it is. There's such an abundance of BS on car forums you'd never visit any of them if that's all it took to shoo you away. It got so bad on one particular MB board that I actually did quit the site, due to a juvenile presence that just ruined it. Let's not let that happen here.

I don't like it personally. It looks like the Ford Fusion, especially the front grille. Big mistake and not so unique any more. The original palm grille was so distinctive and eye catching.

he posted 3 pics actually, I think he has better access to the source material than the site staff.

I personally welcome more pics regardless of source or who takes credit for them.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see it in video, if not in person, but thus far, the design of the 2G Genesis is even more underwhelming than I had thought based on what could be seen on the cladded/disguised spy shots.

The shape of the front grill is just plain awkward and ungainly and the shape of the headlights and greenhouse is about as bland as it gets in automotive design.

Really think Hyundai played it too safe with the redesign (and one doesn't have to get wacky to have a clean, but great design - see Kia Optima SX).

As long as the designers don't dilute the HND-9 Concept too much, the new coupe will have much more dynamic/sleek sheetmetal and if the RK compact sedan shares design elements with the coupe, it should be better looking as well.

The good news is that Hyundai developed a new AWD system (which they call HTRAC) which seems promising.

@ss end on it looks ....chunky....and wth is going on with the tail lights high wrapping quite a distance into the top of the quarter panel. Whatever rims they are using also don't look very good, hopefully not what is coming on the car.
