  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis pic

I don't know for sure, but the fact that the pics were removed from this website, and a member claimed to have taken them (or got the pics from someone else who was), suggests that a member of this forum is the source of the pics (directly or indirectly) and is the one who asked them to be removed. If this forum had merely copied the pics from someplace else, I don't think there would be any basis to remove them. That is why the other sites who copied them from here are not going to be taking them down.

Supposedly they were posted on bobaedream.kr originally. Is it not possible that the person on this forum copied them from there? I don't read korean so I haven't tried checking that site.

So in theory if I copied them from another site and reposted them here it would be ok? I think Admin would disagree.

As I said, I don't really know for sure, and was just guessing, so what you say is possible. It is also possible that the person who posted here is from Korea. I am not sure exactly who requested that the pictures be removed from this forum or whether they requested that they be removed from other websites. Once a pic like that is in the public domain, I don't think Hyundai can do anything, but the original copyright owner of the photo (probably the photographer or the company he works for) can claim copyright infringement for publishing it without permission. So I guess it gets down to: who asked that the photo be removed from www.genesisowners.com?

I'll be honest here... I'm kind of disappointed if this is in fact the 2015 Genny. The front looks like an Infinity from the side if you ask me.

I remember seeing the Genesis back in 2007 in "future cars to come" and being so excited for its arrival. I was wowed when it finally hit the good ol' USA.

This 2015 just screams Toyota Camry.... not impressed at all with the exterior.

I hope by now everyone has seen the "official" 2015 Genny pictures that are posted. I love the looks of it and it is a radical departure from the current sheet metal.

I'm really curious about the electronics and other amenities. Hope they've done some of the things lots of us have talked about in these forums.

^ The above are still just fancy artwork, but it's very promising.

I like the renderings. Just hope it still looks that good in person. If it looks like the spy shots, then I may have to pass.

I'm a bit disappointed with the design. The back end in particular.
It's a sedan, not a coupe.

There can't be much of an opening for the trunk.

I'll reserve final judgment until I see the real thing.

If they shrunk the trunk, that would not be good. I dislike the grill a lot. Makes it look like a Chrysler product.

And yes, I'll reserve final judgement until I see the real thing also.

Shrunken Trunks seem to work well for lux cars....

I already own the Lexus and I have had enough of the small trunk. I had a 99 Lexus GS and when I got my 2007, I could not believe what they did to the trunk. It's like a large glove compartment.

This is not fancy artwork, this is very real. Hyundai revealed the teaser picture on Facebook today with a catchy caption:

"It’s not polite to stare, but we’re going to give you a pass.

The 2015 Genesis Sedan."

They are not photos of an actual vehicle. They are only artwork at this point. We await the real, undistorted, pics.

Yep. Afraid so. It's real. It came from Hyundai on Facebook today. I'll hold my final judgement until I see it in person.

The front end is brought to you by the Fed Gov aka NTSA. Get use to it.
All fronts will become flat and awkward. Study showing personal injury reduced
when person hit with flat vs sloping front. I think it reduces how far the person is thrown. All in all I'm think they did an admiral job. It might make the current model more of a "classic" like the 126 S class Mercedes still is to this day.

If that's the final product then it's sad to say I might start shopping for a different car. 2009-13's look really good overall IMO and while some change is always welcomed I think it looks very bland compared to our current body style. I would have much preferred to see this over what's now looking to be the new Genny....of course until the Detroit Auto Show anything can happen lol..:

I think is flat front end is beautiful!. Thank you NTSA! It's all how it's implemented. Bentley did an admirable job. The problem I have with the Genesis Picture is the grill.

From generation to generation there is never a question of a BMW or a Mercedes. There is a certain "style" that evolves over generations. Now Hyundai appears to have abandoned the look of the first generation Genesis, the car that was a Conquest sale to each and every one here, and replaces it with a totally new style direction.

This is no way to develop a brand loyalty.
