  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know where the head light adjustment screws are located? I haven't looked yet but plan on later today. Just asking if they are obvious or not.

I'm tired of dealing with the body shop that fixed my car and so want to adjust them myself, they are a bit low.

Thanks.

I think they are auto leveling on your car and there is a rear load sensor that controls the auto leveling.

Yes they are auto leveling, but there is an adjustment for the base setting, I just don't know where it is for sure.

When I first got the car back, the right side was higher, so I took it back and they adjusted them so that they were even. I had to take the car back again for the front bumper cover gaps not being right. Now the headlights are pointing lower than before. So I want to adjust them up some.

But I can't see paying 20 bucks for access to the service manul for 1 week just to see how to adjust them.

Thanks. I followed that thread to another thread that once had the diagrams, but now I only see a red x. But I think I've found where to look for the adjustment.

Found the adjusters last night. Used a really long phillips head screw driver and made the adjustment. All is good. Thanks.

I didn't have a tool which would "catch" the adjuster to turn the bevel gear. Went to a chums shop, he has all the drivers, standard, torx, Phillips, clutch head etc., etc..

Got lucky with a long #2 Phillips. I pushed down on the screwdriver when I felt it trying to catch and then the adjuster turned like a good thing. I wonder what the factory tool looks like.

Main thing is, I now have two level headlights .... :)
