Has anybody programmed their Remote or the Door Handle Buttons to unlock all 4 doors with one push? I asked my dealer about this, but they don't seem to know how to do it.
Canadian: I read the same thing, but as I mentioned my Dealer knows nothing about it and they claim they talked to Hyundai Canada and they couldn't offer any information about how to do this.
ctrcbob: I have been doing the same thing, but I have found that depending upon the timing, the second push will either open the other doors or re-lock the drivers door. It would be much easier if one push opened all doors. The same is true of the Remote.
My previous car was a company supplied Ford 500 and the owners manual gave instructions on how to re-programme the remote yourself to open all the doors at once. This is a popular request so I can't understand why it couldn't be done for the Genesis.
When you press the button on the passenger door once, all four doors unlock
Good to know and somewhat logical, but that isn't really convenient as most times I am the sole occupant so will naturally go to the drivers door. I'd have to walk all the way around the car for goodness sake!![]()
In this age of nut cases who know how to watch parking lots for people unlocking doors and then jump into the passenger side, I like the fact that I have to THINK to unlock all four doors. I then do a mental check of the area.
Bottom line- I like the eay it's programmed.
