  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post your 2015 Genesis Questions Here

Does anybody have a picture of the center console without the DIS feature? Is it correct to say only the 9.2" screen comes with this?

Correct.....It's part of the ultimate package which adds matte wood finish, HUD, Lexicon 17 speakers sound system, power trunk lid and dual mode vent control HVAC with CO2 sensor.

Thanks, this may get confusing with us Canuks posting here as I did find out more on the Canadian versions.

Our decked out V6 AWD is called the technology, no ultimate up here. Even though it does not have the 9.2" or the 17 speaker lexicon, it does have real wood/aluminum, HUD display, smart trunk. We do get led fog lights on all models. Quite a few differences so far and I am sure there are more to come as cars become available for comparison.

We don't get the LED fog lights except on the V8.... but I'm willing to bet the 2016 V6's will as it's a definite sore spot already, I'm not sure what their logic was behind that decision.

It has been shown in multiple reviews that the Canadian version will be getting LED fog/driving lights standard. I am sure that everything is in place(wiring, mounting points...) for a DIY person to install them. Should be able to order the parts from either Korea or Hyundai Canada.

We put a V6 AWD with Tech up on the rack and there is no harness or visible extra wiring, nor does there appear to be a place to plug one in....doesn't mean it's not there but it's definitely not in an obvious spot.

1- How much will the rear-wheel horse power be?
2- What will be the zero to 60 time?
3- What will be the MPG rating for the 5.0L
4- What will be the MPG rating for the 3.8L
5- Are the seats going to be more comfortable?
6- Will the USA version have a standard heated steering wheel?
7- How soon before the V8 has the AWD?
8- How many problems will we have with the 8 sp tranny?
9- Is the oil use problem fixed on the 5.0L once and for all?
10- What color combinations can we cvhoose?
11-Will it havee a full size spare?
12- How much power will the amp have with the Tech Package Lexicon system w/17 speakers?
13-Will OCI be 3iM 6KM 7.6Km 10Km or 15Km (m= miles)?
14- Is nitrogen going to be an option or standaard?
15- What will be the stock tire with the 5.0 V-8 Engine
16- Does the front passenger seat have a cvoling mode?

18-Is the square clock going to tick and drive folks nuts?
19-Lastly, will the rear window shade rattle with the bass cranked all the way up and the volume on 31?

Those would all be definite deal breakers for the wrong answers.

Yes, there is such a thing as a stupid question.

Did they bring the soft close doors over? It was there at the Detroit Auto Show but heard nothing else on their website about it.

I miss that feature...had it in my previous car that I traded to get the Genesis and I'm continually not shutting my doors now when I close them. I'll adjust but I did get used to not shutting my door hard.

I remember when Genesis first came out ALS was a big thing - those fancy headlights that swivel up-to-some-degrees. Can't find a single mention of this feature reading about 2015 Genesis. Is that fad gone now?

It is marked as a standard feature on all cars, even the base model.

1: Heated headlight washers. I only got to drive the V6 AWD for a short time, it was raining and the car felt very stable @ 60+mph, we took the circle of the on ramp going around 40 (posted 25) and the car was well composed and never felt like it was losing traction. The only thing we noted in the vehicle we were driving was a droning/hum noise and a slight vibration when sitting still at a light..it was resonating throughout the cabin. They gave it to a technician to look at but I don't know what the outcome was, I'll ask the service manager and see if he can tell me. If your in an area that your think AWD is beneficial or travel a lot to places with bad weather then by all means the loss of gas mileage is worth it.

2: When it first hits the lot I'd doubt there will be very little if any discount, maybe a financing and military one but that's about it. They will be able to sell them pretty much at MSRP for a little while if it does as well as I think it will...this car is really night and day from the previous generation.

3: I'll ask the finance manager but it will probably be similar if not the same as current warranties and range in price greatly depending on how much profit the dealer wants to make.

4: About the same amount of time, the audio connects about 10 seconds before my contacts are done being downloaded. Anything under a minute is just fine by me and most of the times it was around 30-40 seconds.

Rowe Hyundai in Auburn, Maine is offering a $4,000.00 discount on the Black / Black 3.8 with the first two package options.

$44,000.00 instead of $48.950.00

Those fancy things like cruise control and auto hold - I have to press button (two of them) every time I start the car - to turn them on. Is it still the case with the 2015 model?

Another minor pet peeve with my 2010 Genesis is a glaring reflection of the navigation screen on the windshield. Especially at night. I think in BMWs the angle of the screen is a bit different and the dashboard covers it much better from reflecting up.

What does it look like on the 2015 model? Can anyone comment?

Yes and yes, those features along with LKA (lane keep assist) have to be turned on by the user each time. There are times where I don't care to have those features on so them being off at start isn't a deal breaker of any sort for me.

I'll check how much reflection the navi screen gives and try to post a picture this upcoming weekend. I'll also post some pictures of the HID headlights in low/high beam.

Will the 17" Gensis Sedan wheels from 2009 fit 2015 V6 Gensis? Hate to start over with new rims and snow tires.

As long as the bolt pattern is still 5-114 you should be ok
