• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Now a proud owner of a 2015 Ultimate in Manhattan Brown 3.8 (tan interior.) For those of you who may not have seen this color combination, it is beautiful. When the sun hits the paint, it sparkles nicely! It is a remarkable machine in so many ways. I am the previous owner of a 2009 Midnight Blue 3.8 which I regret selling, but would not likely have bought the new one as I loved the previous one. I can fairly compare them should you have any questions. Thus far, I have zero complaints. The adaptive cruise, lane departure warning/lane keep assist and blind spot detection/rear cross traffic alert all work as advertised. When I get tired of the the whiz bang stuff, I turn it off. I LOVE The HUD, in particular the turn by turn directions from the NAV. And yes it CAN be adjusted for height, color, font size and brightness and obviously turned off completely. Haven't messed with the Blue Link much. I don't intend to shout direction requests via voice command to the NAV system. I'll just type it in. For reasons I don't understand, I simply refuse to try the parking "guidelines" system. So far, I can still park a car. Interior is profoundly quiet at highway speeds. Seemingly even quieter than the previous generation. Then again, anything above 4000hz I'm stone deaf anyway so it probably doesent matter.

I thank all of you who have posted so much good information... yes, even the nay-sayers. I went in to it informed and can say I like the new generation much better. To me, the cost is justified.

Sounds beautiful - it's a very rare color around here. Congrats. :)

Thank You very much for your informative review. Every time I read someone's review I learn something new. That is what makes this forum so great. What is this "Parking Guidelines" system you mentioned?

The parking guidelines with the Ultimate package curve as the steering wheel is turned. I have found that very welcome while trying to get in the last available spot in a full parking lot. The spot was empty because no one else apparently wished to tackle the chore of getting into it.

My Parisian Gray Genesis attracts attention everywhere I go. So far, it has only been misidentified as a Bentley one time, but based on my experience with the 2009, that will happen a lot.

A spot that is a chore getting into likely also means it's a chore for the cars next to you opening doors without hitting your car.

I foresee me parking in the north 40 an walking. My heart will thank me I am sure :D

Agreed - with my new 2012 Genny, and now it's 2015 replacement, I don't park near ANYONE (unless absolutely no choice - but in case of OP, I presume there are choices since others are not parking there). Most people have zero regards for other people's property. I see it ALL the time where people open their doors and hit the other cars next to them and they don't skip a beat. It is quite a shame really. On the upside, it gives me plenty of exercise parking so far away.
My 2012 didn't have a single dent on it when I traded it in (except for the scratch on the front bottom cowl (or whatever that is called) from me hitting one of those low concrete parking blocks DOH!

PS: I am not one of those people that take up two parking spots in an effort to keep cars from parking next to them though - that bugs me as well ;)

Maybe instead of showing the lines in the rear camera to aid parking in tight spaces, it should instead calculate the door opening arc of the cars on each side and then help you park or tell you to go elsewhere ;)

That would be awlsome!:D

The only dent we ever got in our 2010 was when my wife parked waaaaay out in a parking lot and some idiot parked right next to her and rammed the mirror with his door. Folded the mirror and dented our door while leaving his blue paint on our silver car.

I was just mis-identified as a Bentley at Costco a few minutes ago. I had put the wings on the truck this morning and that caused the mistake. I suspect there will be more of that.

LOL... I always wondered why people would drive their Bentley to Costco... :D

Idiot is being kind!

Only had my new 2015 out a few times since I've had it - I had a cop that was directing traffic do a double take as I passed him, and had a car next to me check me out as he pulled out ahead of me at a traffic light.

Never had that happen in my 2010 genny.

PS: I replaced the flying H with the wings on the trunk. I am sure that confuses them even more.

Bsantelli don’t know if you got my update to you regarding the 2015 voice commands. On testing of the commands I found the “Jukebox” command is really “Jukebox Music”. The manual is in error but the voice command help screen in the car has it right. You might want to correct it on your sheet.

Thanks Ernie - here's the updated document

One more thing Trace<99> Global Command should be Track<99>
requesting a track by number. Strangely there is no “next track” or “previous track” like there was on my 2011.
Thanks
