If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Just came out of 2012 Genesis into a brand new 2015 3.8 Genesis. So far I think it's one of the best car i've driven. Only issue I have is during idle. I can feel very light vibrations in seats. It's so light that I am not sure if its a norm. My old 2012 didnt have this vibration and I know 2015 transmission is the same. I'll have it checked out next time I go to get my first oil change. Anyone else feel something especially during stop at light or idle?

Funny you mentioned that b/c I felt this little vibration/rumble that goes on and off every second yesterday while the car was on park. It went away as soon as I turned off the AC.

I have not noticed this on my 3.8 2WD ultimate.

Is yours an Ultimate?

I've felt that in the seat on a few occasions in my 3.8 AWD Ultimate as well - was not sure what it was - almost felt like minor, uneven idling/surging?

I've been researching and found 2 possibilities: I need to check if 'idle speed is set correctly' and to check 'engine mount'. not all the cars will have 'idle speed set'. my car only has 850 miles. I also dont have a lot time to spend going back and forth to the dealership. I'll wait until my first oil change to address this issue. I am hoping this issue will slowly get better or not! If anyone knows anything please feel free to share. thank you.

I have felt the same vibration. With or without AC on. I have 5500 mi. Very slight but annoying.
Have the ultimate package.

Just picked up my new 2015 Genesis 3.8 RWD Ultimate on Sunday. My wife immediately noticed a vibration in the passenger seat. She said it stopped when I turned off the AC.

so we have some small samples of buyers with same problem. has anyone taken their car to the dealership for this issue. I am now more interested in what dealership-service are saying. Hope there is some type of resolution for this.

Is there AC duct work running through the center console and down below the seats.

I have also felt the same vibration on my 2015 Genesis AWD Ultimate. With or without AC on. I have 1,700 mi. Very slight vibration.
If I visit the dealer, they maybe neglect it.

The vibration occurs whenever I wait for signal, that is "D" mode.
In "P" mode or "N" mode, the vibration is very very small and I didn't almost feel it. However, in "D" mode, I always feel it for waiting for signal.
During "running", I didn't feel any vibration.

Is it normal? or should I request to fix it ?
I bought the car on July 25, 2014.

Defective engine mounts? Seems unlikely at 1700 mi though. I experienced something similar in a sorento until I replaced the engine mounts but that was driven 100000 mil

I also get this in park and auto hold more with ac on.i did take it to the dealer they acknowledged it but stated too few sold to know what is normal. I did make them bring out another v6 and I felt the same slight vibration. I am waiting for first oil change to address this. If there is a fix hopefully a tsb by then. First year out will have querks. I knew of the possibility when buying. Love the car/ ultimate and Caspian black

I traded a 2012 Genesis for a 2015 3.8 ultimate. The 2012 had the 4.6 liter V8. That car idled so smooth I had to look at the tachometer to make sure it was running. The 2015 does shake lightly at idle in Drive. Just a little but enough to be somewhat annoying, especially when I compare it to the 2012. When the AC is turned off the vibration all but goes away. The new car only has 280 miles so I'll wait a while to complain to the dealer. Meanwhile the new Genny is an impressive vehicle and 10 times the car my 2012 was.

I have also noticed a slight vibration, while moving however it is very slight and not always there. Extending the seat amplifies the vibration slightly.

I've seen the same issue. It's in park or idling. Haven't noticed if it's only when the AC is on. The vibration has been there since day 1.

My 2015 5.0 Ultimate will have occasional vibration when idling, usually after the idle drops after startup. It normally idles at 500 RPM, which seems low compared to other cars. A couple of days ago, I noticed that it was idling at about 750 RPM (after the initial drop after warm-up) and vibrating more than usual (still very slight, but noticeable). The A/C was running on max, and when I turned off the A/C the idle immediately dropped to 500 RPM and the vibration stopped.

I suspect that the vibration is probably due to the engine trying to maintain a low idle RPM to improve fuel economy while trying to carry the load of the A/C compressor. It normally goes away after the cabin has cooled off (less load on the A/C).

I have had this issue on my 2015 Ultimate since 7-8K miles. Hyundai has been trying to fix for40K miles and over 20 days in shop and finally they said just a characteristic of car. If it was they would not have tried to fix and if it is it should not be on this class of car.I am in a battle with them and they tell me they have not heard of this from anyone else. They are to call me in a couple of days to discuss options because I want it fixed or replaced. The issue as I see it is the slight vibration is there all of the time but when ac comes on the idle goes up about 150rpm it gets more pronounced if they just idled car different at idle it would cure issue. They say they can not change that setting. This is BS.....

Do you think it may be the chili you had last night? Sorry, it just hit me and I couldn't help myself this morning.
