In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I'm replacing the front amber light bulbs with LED ones. Here's the LED lights I'm using http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=381005132180

The problem is that the driver side wiring by the manufacturer is wrong. The power and ground wires are switched place, which is OK for stock light bulb but is not working on the LED light.

I need to switch the wires on the connectors but it's a tight place and very hard to get the connector off the assembly. Is there a diagram showing how to disconnect those connectors?

I could cut the wires and reattach them but would try some other ways first.

BTW, I have 3.8 Tech package.

You are correct on the flipped wiring. In the links above, I tslk of the hours I spent thinking the issues was the VLED that I was installing.

Weird... I didnt have to do any flipping and my vled tritons are working fine.

When exactly do these lights come on? Since I have the CDN model they probably differ in function. Mine are strictly parking lights or flasher lights.

it comes on when signaling or on auto in tech pkg.

thanks for the links. I have studied those but were thinking its related to specific LED lights. I realized after trying the passenger side while thinking about returning it to the seller.

I would need to repin the connector and drill a hole for wiring the resistor as it needs to be outside to be cooled.

still looking for proper tool to repin the connector.

Will your front turn signals be white then?

What does this modification do to the warranty?

I'm not an expert but my OPINION is that it depends. If you're in the shop for turn signal light issues, than likely there is no warranty. If you have a transmission issue, likely the warranty would be in place. I have did many lighting mods to my 09 Genesis and never had any issue with warranty being questioned. Same on my motorcycle. That's the reason I've done nothing to the engine or drivetrain ;)

Bottom line- if you mod it, you deal with it.

RadioShack have Crimp Pin Extractor tool #274-223. I never cove get it to work. Make sure the LED will flash on the R&L & 4 WAYS. some time you can change the bulb around to work. I took my bumper off Nov22,14 and remove the head lamp so I can get right in their to work on the 1157 blubs socket because you have wire in the resistors outside the housing. the blubs socket has two red wire one is hot and one is ground. dust cover in the bottom of the DRL. I tap in to that 1157 socket for the resistors. i DRILL A SMALL HOLE IN THE BOTTOM of the head lamp housing run the two wire out for the resistors will attach to the frame. 1157 socket will unplug if you push in on the white tap ??? best to take the head lamp off so you can work on it. I SWAPPED OUT my stock HID bulbs for 6000. The switchback LED I in stall are bright in yellow. My R&L and 4 ways work. No DRL WILL NOT Turn ON?? May because I have the car all apart on ramps in side my garage.

After I got my bumper on and the car out side the switchback would not switch, lite up yellow. I got my bumper back on my car after a month it was down for parts for the fog lamps switch; see my post page http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=14020&page=10 and page 11. I switch the wires pins on the connectors using a small jewelers screwdriver from a set I had on hand after I got the 1157 blub socket out of the housing it lock in place by the white clip very hard to remove, After I replace the socket the switchback only light up as yellow again and will not switch to white. I am force to remove the bumper again 3 time to put the wiring back like it was after I order and install the http://www.vleds.com/v3-wa-5k.html and the 1157 bulbs adapters next year. Give me your feedback when completed. I also got LISLE #56500 FROM THE AUTO PARTS STORE it is a terminal tool that will work to take pins out.
