That would've happened with the 3.3L, the same engine used in the base Azera and the US-market Sonata V6. But it was NOT going to be competitive in the US market, and while at it, would've brought down the rest of the Genesis range as well.
For that matter, the 3.8L isn't a "luxury car engine" either, as it's the same one from the Kia Sedona and burns regular fuel. But it surely performs a lot like one, and no complaints from me.
I'd like the following options available:
- Sport package
- AWD option (even though I don't want it myself)
- Telematics (I hate telematics, but some like it, and the KDM Genesis does get the Mozen telematics system)
- Korean delivery option (assuming legal barriers aren't too high) similar to European delivery programs of German and Swedish automakers
