  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Im looking at new wheels and the ones i like best come in a 20 x 8.5, 9.5 and 10. Im wondering if a 20 x 9.5 with a 38 offset will work on the front of the Genesis sedan without problems. Im thinking of doing a staggered setup with the 9.5 and 10's.

They will clear fender well. For reference here is pic of a 20x9.5+8 in the front. You would have 1" more clearance to fender.

My wheels might be going up for sale if your interested...

My thoughts that +5 on a 9.5 would be perfect seems correct...maybe +4...
Looks like you're dialed in pretty good now. I know of some Leon's up for 2800 if you are in the market.

Yeah man PM me the info on the Leon's, be interested in checking them out. Tried sending you a PM but your box is full...

I would actually go with 20x9.5 +18 up to a 23 in order to tuck the rim slightly. At my normal ride height, 26.5" from ground to bottom of fender, the +18 would have the rim sitting flush with outside of fender wall.

Im wanting the wheels to be inside the fender. Will a 9.5 with a lower offset, say a 20-25 sit inside the fender?

Unfortunately you would have to measure. It gives you how much more aggressive your new setup would be.

As to rubbing, that will be trial and error I'm afraid

I could be wrong but tire clearance could be tight with 20-25 depending on the size. I went 19x8.5 +35 with a 255/40 tire on the front and a 19x9.5 would have fit with a +25 but tire rub could have been a issue.
