  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I drove by the dealership today and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a silver Genesis coupe sitting out front.

Apparently, according to the dealer, Hyundai sent the same model to every dealer in the states over the past few days, the v6 auto. And theirs showed up this morning.

I drove the car about 10 miles, and accelerated hard from a stop to about 70. It's definitely quick, and drives very smoothly. However, in the one I drove it was whining, sounded like it was supercharged. Maybe it was the fuel pump whining because it was low on gas, I'm not sure about that, but it was annoying.

The car has nice interior, other than the bland radio/hvac display. Also, the rear seats are for looks only. I sat in them and I'm about 5'10" and 160lbs, and my head hit the rear glass.

Overall I liked it a lot. Can't wait for the 2.0t R spec version to come out.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I got mine today its the 3.8 track. Very nice didn't think it was going to be as big as it is. Right now there are only about 63 3.8 tracks in the US right now.

So are you thinking of purchasing it or ruining the brand new car for the next customer?

Very nice coupe!

I dont think he will be ruining the car for the customer who buys it...have you seen how Hyundai tests every car before they ship it out...the TEST the car. I have been by the Hyundai plant here in Alabama (I even applied for a job there at one time) and they have almost a full race track that comes out of the production floor door and goes for at least a couple of miles. Somedays you can see them jump a little hill and get sideways when they turn...its pretty cool to watch!

Those are some lucky guys then. Just taking the new cars out and putting them through their paces real quick. I wonder if they're ever like "what do you think of this one" .... "eh, it's the same as last weeks, just a different color" ... lol!

If they do that with the sedan, maybe those are the ones with suspension issues or don't drive straight.... Did you see them do any burnouts and brake torquing too....

Well I am thinking about purchasing one, but I want to drive the 2.0t before I make my decision. And I know that accelerating from a stop to 70 one time throughout a 20 minute cruise is not going to ruin it, but thanks for the input!

HA!! Could be!

Here is the link to the Montgomery Plant http://www.hmmausa.com/default.aspx

They only build the Sonata and the Santa Fe. If you look at the picture you can see the track on the left. If you look near the interstate side of the track you can see the hill. Of course, the picture does not do it any justice.

****YOU NEED TO PAN THE PICTURE TO THE RIGHT TO SEE THE PLANT.****

This is the smallest picture I could find....Sal...tell me if I need to remove it. :)
