It's been 2 months since I've gotten the smart key card for the Genensis and I love having the "key" in my wallet to free up pockets. But I just discovered that when they programmed the smart key card they also inadvertently up programmed the key fob I didn't take in to the dealership. Apparently when they programmed the new key card they changed something and updated the car and the key fob I brought in. So next time I'm at the dealership I'll bring in all three key to make sure they all work.
So for anyone looking to add a key card, make sure you leave them both existing key fobs when you get the key card programmed.

... at the manual , it's says that one owner is allowed to have 2 key fobs or one card and one key fob programmed. I think it's done on purpose ,disabling your other key fob , and also as we are not supposed to have the cards , they might disable the key fob as well
Nope. Check the posts on THIS THREAD around Nov. 1 or 7 I think: TWO keys PLUS a fob, NOT two total. Shows print from manual.
Nevermind I tried it and locking the door from the door handle does retract the mirrors.
Critical learning: if you lock the car either A) from your fob; or B) from the button on the OUTSIDE of the driver's door it will properly lock car, close mirrors and prime trunk so it's ready to open automatically when you walk behind the car with the fob.
HOWEVER, if you lock the door via THE BUTTON ON THE DOOR INSIDE THE CAR it will NOT prime the car. It will lock the car but it won't close the mirrors and prime the trunk to open when you walk behind it.
Trust me. There's a whole thread where the wonderful people here made me realize why my car was acting "oddly." Give you a hint: it wasn't, I just had to RTFM in DETAIL.![]()

Also make sure that the mirror adjustment switch inside where you adjust the mirrors , is on either left or right mirror positioning , if you leave it on middle, the mirrors won't fold when you lock the car.
Not sure that is true because I deselected the mirrors to shut off the tilt part not the fold part. When in reverse they tilt down and it was bothering me in all the snow. They are still folding for me on lock/unlock.
I got my FOB programmed today. I took all three FOBs to make sure they all worked afterwards. My dealer also had the problem some others had and couldn't cut the key because it wouldn't fit in their machine, but please note that the key had to be in the FOB for it to program correctly (they tried it with the key portion missing and it didn't seem to take). Now all three FOBs work and I'm happy! They charged me $45 and were super cool about being willing to try it (I was their first person). I told them I'd be back with the KDM lights when they arrive.
One thing they told me about the 2015 Genesis when they were changing my oil (which I also had done today) is that for them to change the oil they have to remove like 14 screws to remove the underbody cover.
It WORKS!!!!)) Took them 5 min and cost me 0$
)))
Yeahaaaaaa))))
