Sirius LED Head Light Coversion Kit installed

Decided I'd try these out and installed them. I will follow up with an update on these but for starters right off the bat they are bright BUT not as bright as I'd like them to be. The light output on the ground is really good but the light forward is a let down however not completely useless at all. The road in front and reflective signs light up really well. As far as color of these they are damn near HID I think they rate them at 6500k. The install is fairly easy however with most LED conversion the units come with a large fan and ballast type unit which would make them hard to install due to space limitations. These on the other hand come with a small ballast and some sort of heat belt behind them. My initial concern was how hot the heat belt get without a fan behind the units. I emailed the company and they claimed I can STILL use the dust cover on the headlight with the LED's. I'm still concerned about heat from the heat belts especially near the wires for the headlight and or the headlights itself. I will be on top of these to make sure the heat does not melt anything. So far I do like the light output and color just wish they were a bit brighter with more light forward facing. I think the oem projectors either limited the light ouput a bit but on the flip side the projectors keep the light evenly not OEM even but not all over the place either. I'll report back later and get some better pictures up soon.

Looks like GTR has since released another version that incorporates the driver into the heatsink with even more lumen output.

High beams would be worthless from my experience as these are no where near the OEM high beam output.

Those actually look good also I am still checking to see if any heat is affecting anything I am not 100% confident on putting the dust cap back on with the heat belts trapped inside.......To be honest it kinda has me worried.

On the High/DRL question, they likely will not work as there is a current/voltage change from the DRL mode to the High Beam Mode. Your right, the factory Halogen output on the HighBeam bulbs is 1571 Lumens. Most of the LED options are a fraction of this in reality. I like that Diode Dynamics has their own test facility and tests this stuff before marketing solutions under their name. http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/

Lastly, I too am worried about leaving open or even poorly "boot sealing" the factory housing maybe unnecessarily so. But after removing the factor cap and seeing how well made and tight it is, I wonder more about moisture than dust. In south TX, rain and high water are a reality. I might not be able to do a long term review as I have traded my base model for a Black R spec but after driving the Rspec with the OEM HID it seems like these LED's had a better color than the OEM HID's. Not sure what the OEM HID's Color temp is but the LEDS did have a better color. I did however remove the LED's yesterday to check and see if anything is melted and everything was fine no wires, housing or plastics melting. Now my next move is maybe swapping my HID bulb to a higher temperature. I might go with 6k like the LED's.

OEM HIDs are probably 4100K color temperature.
Also, as I read somewhere, the quality of light produced by LEDs is better than light produced by halogen, fluorescent, and probably HID bulbs.

I have since had an issue with this setup.......Hopefully I am making sense of what I am trying to get across here

The led bulbs have the same pins to lock on to the bulb opening like the OEM bulbs do HOWEVER the don't lock the just spin tighten and spin again but never lock like the OEM bulbs do. At first I found this kind of weird but they did stay in place even thought they never locked in. After I removed them and put the car back to stock ( I am selling the car ) I noticed that the locking ring was VERY LOOSE. So if I were to reinstalled these they would not lock in. I contacted Sirius and the response I got back was:

I will let the manufacture know and see if they can do something on it. right now there is nothing we can do. Thank you!

Now that is NOT the answer I expected and is an example of what customer service from them is like. I was going to keep them and give them to a friend but with this defect and pretty much brand new I wanted my issue fixed. Needless to say the item will be sent out for a refund. I would have expected them to offer a replacement unit of such. Be warned these scumbags have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE if in fact you order these and need help. Yes they worked and look GREAT but I can't see myself keeping something from a seller to be left shit out of luck.
