  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

New member. Long time (15 years) owner of an Audi A6. Though it still runs, it's looking at 10K worth of suspension/engine seals/turbo work. I've always liked the Genesis. I'm wondering if any ex-Audi owners can chime in.

Living in TX, I really don't see the need for AWD. I've identified a few 3.8 models at a dealer close by. What is a reasonable price to pay for a Singature/Tech model, about 3K under sticker? I'm not really interested in the Ultimate package, but if it helps them move a car, will they discount it?

I haven't bought/leased a new car since 2000. A lot has changed.

I too was an Audi owner. I had a 2010 A6 Prestiege. The Genesis is by far more quiet, smoother ride, and better value. I'm glad I made the switch.

Done deal. Empire gray non-ultimate model 3.8 RWD. 3K off of sticker and a couple grand for my Audi (KBB retail was $3500). The money factors are amazing for the lease, $58/month finance charge.

Haven't read the manuals yet. Is it possible to get sport mode handling with the transmission in Eco/normal (one gear higher)?

I came from an 08 A6 quattro. I bought the 2015 Ultimate AWD, Empire State Grey, Black interior. This car is definately better than my Audi in the following: Noticably quieter, better over bumps, a little more spacious, far better tech than my 08 had of course. Also the maintenance is much cheaper as well. I'm very happy with my upgrade!

Just a heads up that the Hyundai dealer in Evansville is advertising 5.0 ultimate for $44,999 or $329/mo lease on their website. That is non demo, they have a demo 5.0 for About $38.5k. Pretty good prices IMO although they probably include $1k loyalty incentive.

^^ typo. They said It supposed to be $48k. Nothing special. Will not honor mistake. They have exact duplicate above for $48k

Interesting. They really do go that low from time to time at this dealer, as in last few days of the month so if in the market u may want to check back, ask for Colin.

Hello - first entry to the forum. I bought my 3.8 AWD right at the end of January. List was for about $53K; dealer went down to $46.5K. Also gave me a good trade on my 2011 Audi A4. I have been loving this car ever since!

Hello and welcome!

I will do that. Thanks for the tip. I am in the market. Might keep what I have now and get a gen 2 ultimate 5.0. I am close by.

Oh, and there should be a finders fee for you. Ping me with your name. Will mention it. I have gotten a few from where sent others to buy various models from the original dealer I used.

Was it Huffines in Plano or McKinney?

I'm heading to Plano with the title to my Audi this afternoon.

Folks, I promise that I do not work for Eckert Hyundai in Denton, but I bought a car for my wife there, and I must say that the fair way in which they negotiated price, and the quality of the service all around was simply the best I have ever seen at any car dealer. I encourage folks in the DFW area to at least give them a try. I found them very refreshing to deal with.

Almost time to turn in my current lease in July, I have a Hyundai Elantra. My original plan was to purchase the Genesis but leasing is starting to look a lot better.

$4000 down for $329 a month, seems like a pretty good deal to me.

2015 Red/Gray Ultimate lease.
3 year / 12k per. 0 money down (fees and everything rolled into lease - I literally paid 0 down) - $499.44 per month - 50.5k sticker, 43250 negotiated price. Free window tint.

I ended up at $50,217 on a 5.0 Ultimate Black/Black. I used truecar for the price and didn't go with the lowest bidder because I wanted to go with a dealership I trusted a bit more. So far I love the car. Having owned 3 Infiniti, Acura, Jaguar, Lexus, and Mercedes, this is my first dealing with Hyundai but I don't feel like I am giving up a whole other than the dealer experience and driving a wonderful car that I am happy with.

I would advise against putting any money down. If you total your car or it gets stolen all that money you put down would be money down the drain. Hyundai still owns the car and you are technically renting the car from them on a lease so they are entitled to the insurance money. Try to pay as little as you can when you are driving off...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I've seen that the dealers are essentially giving the Ultimate package away. I didn't see the value in it so bought a 3.8 without it. I can't see how the Ultimate package costs more than $500 to the dealer. Getting it at cost does make the deal sound better, though.

^$500 to the dealer for Ultimate package? You can't be serious...

I don't think he understands how much a high quality audio system actually costs. The Ultimate's lexicon system is one of the best systems put in by a manufacturer it's upgrade cost alone is between 1500-2000 dollars (and is worth it if you are an audiophile)

I doubt that Hyundai pays retail for the audio components. I used to design HUD systems for automobiles and the price pressure was enormous. It made consumer electronics seem like a high-margin business.
