  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

I didn't realize the residual on the AWD model was so high.
Does anyone have the current residual on the remaining models (w/ Ultimate if it matters) ?

On the RWD the MF is .00049 according to the sheet I saw.

I'm not positive on the residual for RWD, so I don't want to guess.

That seems closer to what I thought. I was quoted 53% on the 5.0 earlier this month.

Wow!! Gratz, thats a good deal!!

Wish they would do that in Vegas LOL
No kidding. I am in Vegas as well and the prices here are insane, especially compared to CA. Probably due to the fact that there are only a small handful of dealers in the area.

surprised how many people here are getting the Ultimate package, I looked at the ultimate is just slightly over the threshold of the vehicle range I was trying to avoid by buying a genesis in the first place, however, it seems like that is the most highly discounted vehicle out of all the packages.

u know i realized after i purchased the vehicle but the standard also has lexicon speakers just not 17 of them. that was one the big reasons i was looking for the ultimate (maybe HUD display). i might have just opted for the tech package but then again it may have made only a $50 a month difference

For me, Ultimate package is a must have. Its adds a cost justifiable level of amenities to the car. However I might be slightly biased coming from Audi sedans.

The sound system that comes with the UP is enough for me to spring for it. CNET said that system falls somewhere between premium and audiophile quality...that's pretty damn good for a car at this price point. You have to feed it a high quality source such as DVD-Audio discs however.

How much better is it than the 14 speaker system in the Tech Pkg?

Is DVD-Audio even that popular anymore? What about high quality MP3 audio, I imagine more people would use those.

I hear ya, I came from a 2012 Equus and it seems that with the tech and sig package the 2015 Genesis is comparable in features and then some. The only thing I miss (other than the $430 lease payment) is the Lexicon sound system was just brilliant in the Equus. But the thump when closing the doors on the Genesis is better :)
